She shook her head.
“No, I’m going to meet my deputies there. There’s only a few of us on duty.”
He had to have faith in the fact that this asshole didn’t know about him and Rayna, or how she was close with the Blackhawks.
“You, me, later? Some really hot phone sex?” she asked. “I’ll be naked and waiting.”
He fanned himself.
“Hell, yeah. You know I’m not saying no to that. I’ll be the lecherous one watching with his dick out.”
She smiled.
“Again, I love you, Caspian. Don’t forget it.”
How could he?
No one had ever loved him like she did. She was, in fact, the first love of his life.
And his only one.
Because he couldn’t kiss her, he blew her a kiss.

Holy shit! Finding Elizabeth was turning into a hunt. With Gryphen following him, the first place they looked was her actual office. Only, the tape was still on the door, warning of a biological hazard.
Well, clearly, she wasn’t there, since the clean-up was just about to start.
Unfortunately for him, no one else had seen her. That meant logically, there would only be one other place she would be hiding.
