“I’m gay, Ivan. What am I going to do? Admire all the tits? Besides, Gryphen is at the other door. He’s keeping everyone out. I’ll make sure she’s okay.”
Ivan grabbed his arm.
“I don’t know how to help her. She’s not letting me in. I’m over my head here.”
Yeah, they kind of all were.
That was the problem. They’d never had a full-on assault quite like this on them, and they were learning as they went. Elizabeth had challenges, but none that had been this planned out. They were all in new territory.
Unfortunately.
“Just get everyone ready for dinner. She needs to eat, and we all need to crash at some point. None of us have slept more than a cat nap here and there. At some point, we need some downtime.”
Well, that he could do.
“Don’t let anyone in or out,” he ordered, grabbing his towel and heading into follow her. “Including her. We’re going towork through this, or she’s killing me in the process. I gave her time, and now, I’ll get her through this.”
Well, if that was his kink.
Someone either had balls of steel, or he knew something they didn’t know because this didn’t look like maneuverable territory.
This was Mogadishu in the dark.
This was Baghdad in a firefight.
Clearly, Gene was brave.
Because he trusted the man, Ivan let him go off to do whatever he could.
Time would tell.
Once in the locker room, Gene noticed a few things about the place. First, it was nicer than the men’s locker room, and next, it didn’t smell like feet, ball sacks, and sweat.
That was kinda nice.
This just proved that men were all kinds of nastiness when it came to bodily functions.
Navigating the rows of lockers, Gene found her.
Elizabeth had a pretty pink towel hanging outside of one of the spacious stalls.
Damn.
They even got nicer showers.
That was crazy work, how the men never even realized it. This was luxury, and they had third-world country status in their locker room.
From the steam rising from the shower, it was clear someone was boiling herself like a freaking lobster.
Jesus.
Apparently, he was going to be too.
Well, here went his outer skin layer. It was nice having it while he did.
Pulling the curtain back, she didn’t even react, and that told him all he needed to know.
Elizabeth didn’t want to be alone.
