Reiya whimpered, fingers tightening around his sleeve as if the ground beneath her had given way, head drooping onto his shoulder
Alarik’s grip tightened. “We need to move.”
Kaelen was already striding toward the horses. “We’ll take her to the nest.”
Alarik nodded sharply, gathering her into his arms in one fluid motion. She didn’t protest, but the soft, breathless sound she made as she melted against his chest shot straight through him, sharp as a knife, deep as a pulse.
He ground his teeth, swallowing the need threatening to tear free.
Without another word, they mounted, Shahram and Ruhasul thundering into the night—carrying them across the desert, toward the only place safe enough for what was coming.
Toward the place where they would finally claim her.
Chapter Fifty-Eight
REIYANA
The night blurred around her—a fever dream of wind and sand as they raced across the desert. Each pounding stride sent jolts of pleasure through her body, unbearable in its intensity. Each jolt sent a slow, searing ache curling between her thighs. The rhythm, the friction—it wasn’t pain, but somethingworse. A throbbing need, sharp and relentless, building with every breath.
Alarik’s arms were a cage around her; his broad chest solid against her back, his scent thick, intoxicating as it wrapped around her.Alpha.His hands—one at her waist, the other gripping the reins—held her still, but it was a cruel kind of mercy.
She whimpered, shifting against him, desperate for relief, for something to ease the need, but his grip tightened and kept her in place.
“Easy, Ketra,” Alarik murmured against her ear, his voice a low purr. He must’ve felt it: her helpless writhing, the fevered press of her body against his, the way she ached to be touched.
A whine escaped her throat, not caring if it made her sound desperate.
Her head tipped back against his shoulder, baring her neck, instinct screaming at her to offer herself.
Alarik didn’t hesitate. His teeth grazed her pulse, teasing her with abite that never fully landed. Shuddering, gasping, her hips pressed back against him in a silent plea.
She felt him behind her—hard, straining, ready.
And she felt herself—soft, wet, aching.
He growled against her neck. The sound low, approving, possessive, vibrating against her skin. “You’re burning up, Omega.”
He let his tongue flick against a vein, drawing another helpless sound from her, before dragging his teeth down, scraping her sensitive flesh.
Reiya arched, a trembling mess in his arms, her body begging without words. She couldn’t think, couldn’t speak. The world had narrowed to the relentless ache between her thighs, the torment of being so close to them—yet empty.
They reached the nest just in time.
Kaelen was off his horse before it had fully stopped. In one fluid motion, he pulled her from the saddle, catching her against his chest. His grip was firm, rough, almost bruising—but it also feltright. She wrapped her thighs around his waist as he strode inside.
It was dark, until it wasn’t. Alarik lit the lanterns one by one, and the cavern came alive. Light chased away the shadows until the nest was bathed in a warm, golden glow, turning the rough stone wallsluminous.
Kaelen lowered her down onto their bed. The moment her back hit the soft furs, a strangled whimper tore from her lips. She was too hot, too sensitive. Even the feel of the silken pelts against her bare skin was almost too much. Every inch of her body was thrumming, desperate.
He knelt between her thighs, looming above her, golden eyes ablaze with need as he reached for her clothing. His fingers trembled as he tried to unfasten the row of crystal buttons along her bodice, but patience was a fragile thing. It snapped within moments, fabric ripping, buttons flying as he freed her from the confines of her dress.
A sharp gasp left her lips, but she didn’t protest. If anything, the raw display of dominance, of possession, only stoked the wildfire within.
“Kaelen,” she whimpered, her hands fisting the furs beneath her.She twisted beneath him, thighs parting, inviting, slick already dripping between her cheeks.
He hushed her with a commanding look, spreading her open.
“Easy, Sáel,” he murmured, his voice molten, rough. “We’ve got you.”
