Just before dusk, I gave Kyle privacy to say goodbye to his family before Laurits, who was now on duty, drove them to the airport. I didn’t know what he said to them, but as we stood side by side, watching them get into the SUV, tears rolled down hischeeks. “I missed them. So much. But I wish they hadn’t come, because now I’m going to miss them all over again. I was just getting used to not seeing them, and you brought them here.”

“I’m sorry.” I took his hand, relieved that he let me. “I didn’t mean to hurt you, Kyle. My family couldn’t be here. I don’t know where the hell they are, or if any of them are even alive. I thought one of us should have family here.”

“What happened to, the pack is our family?” He glared at me through watery eyes. “I understand why you did it, Tobias, and I love you for thinking of it, but I kind of hate you for it right now too. Because I thought last time was the last time I would see them, and now this is.”

“I’m so sorry, Kyle.” I wished I could say something to make him feel better. “I fucked up. I thought it would be good for you to see them. I should have asked.”

“You were trying to give me something nice.” He squeezed my hand. “It sucks, but I got over it before, and I’ll get over it again. At least this time, I had a chance to tell them that I might not be in touch often but I love them and think about them all the time.”

“Maybe you can be in touch with them,” I said without thinking.”

“Yeah, the Anax makes the rules.” He shook his head. “Don’t make an exception for me unless there’s a damn good reason. Me getting all weepy because I can’t hug my mommy and daddy isn’t a good reason.”

“We’ll talk about it.” Maybe I would change the laws. Werewolves could petition their leaders for permission to keep in contact with human partners and children they had before they were changed. Why couldn’t parents and siblings be part of the deal?

Now wasn’t the time to think about that, though. It was my wedding day. I wasn’t the Anax today, I was just Tobias Rogan, and I was celebrating with my husband.

The party lasted well after dusk, until my guards, along with Kirk, Carlos, and Harriet, started walking around quietlysuggesting that people hit the road, or hit their pillows if they were staying overnight. Within an hour, everyone else left.

Kyle and I went up to our suite, and I pulled him into my arms while I kicked the door shut. “Our wedding night.”

“Yep, and you’d better get that frigging tux off, because I don’t think you’d be too happy if I rip it.” He pushed me away, not entirely gently, and started taking off his clothes. “Let’s go. I want to find out if fucking you feels different now.”

“I don’t want you to fuck me.” I started undoing too many buttons, along with the goddamn bow tie that I probably should have gotten rid of sooner. “I want you to make love to me.”

“I’m on board with that.”

We raced to see which of us could undress faster, and Kyle won because I couldn’t even remember the last time I’d worn a tux. When we were naked, he grabbed me and propelled me toward the bed. “I’m going to suck you. You’re going to suck me. My cock might end up in your ass. It might not. You have any requests?”

“Make love to me,” I said again as I arranged myself on the bed, my head on the pillows. “Other than that, it’s all up to you. I’m yours.”

“You sure as hell are.” He grinned and got the bottle of lube from the nightstand. He dropped it beside me and knelt over me to lower his mouth to my cock.

His mouth felt amazing, and he definitely knew how to use his lips and tongue to stoke the fire that was already burning in me. Now I understood why he’d put off sex. Building the anticipation made everything feel so much better. So much more intense. He stroked my thighs as I reflexively gripped his hair, and the pleasure grew in me until I wanted to cry out.

I didn’t. There were still werewolves in the house, and we didn’t need to be overheard. But I damn well wanted to shout Kyle’s name, especially as his touch, his mouth, brought me closer and closer to the brink until I toppled over, letting out a low moan that I somehow managed to keep reasonably quiet.

When I came back to my senses, he was sitting beside mewith a smug grin. “Didn’t think I’d be able to get you off that fast. Want to see if you can do the same to me?”

“I want you inside me.” He had ordered me to suck him, but maybe he would give me an out on that. I wanted to taste him, but more than that, I wanted him fucking me. Hard and fast, slow and easy, however he wanted, but I needed to feel him inside me.

Feel myhusbandinside me.

He grinned and picked up the lube. “You owe me a blowjob. But I don’t feel like waiting to have your ass around my dick. Watch me while I fuck you, Tobias. This is a claiming. Not like when you claimed me as your mate, but this is proof that you’re mine.”

“Whatever you say,” I gasped as he started applying the cold lube to my ass.

When we were both ready, he eased into me, way too slowly. The pleasure built, my need and craving, and so did something else. The joining, the power I’d felt with him when we spoke our vows.

“Whose are you, Tobias Rogan?” he asked softly when he was fully inside me.

“Yours, Kyle Slidell.” I puckered my lips, and he bent to kiss me. “I’m yours.”

“And I’m yours.” He grinned and started moving in and out of me, again nowhere near as fast as I wanted, but he picked up the pace as I moved beneath him.

We matched our rhythm, moving together as one. I felt more connected to him than I remembered ever feeling, except maybe on the night I’d claimed him as my mate, and he murmured soft words of belonging and love that only increased the connection.

We came together, whispering each other’s name, feeling each other’s ecstasy until the shared orgasm faded and Kyle collapsed onto me. I wrapped my arms around him, not caring about the fluids between us, and simply held him.
