CHAPTER9
Abbie couldn’t get enough of the kitchen in this house. The L-shaped counter against the wall was large enough to keep most of the daily-use appliances out, and the island was spacious enough to do prep work, roll out dough, or even lie back on while Derek took his time feasting on her.
They hadn’t spoken again about their feelings after their admissions on the couch last night, and Abbie wasn’t going to be the first one to bring it up.Not yet anyway.
It was their last full day together, and there had been an unspoken agreement between them to make the most out of it.She’d go home tomorrow.
Derek had taken it to mean: give Abbie as many orgasms in a day as was humanly possible. She was not one to complain.
“Derek, I don’t know if I have another one in me.”She was sweaty, breathless, and boneless.
He paused and looked up at her.“Do you want me to stop?”
She propped herself up on her elbows and took in the sight of him: hair disheveled, sweat gleaming on his bare chest.“No, I don’t want you to stop.”
He growled.Shivers skittered along her spine.Without breaking eye contact, he licked her center. His tongue flicked her clit again, and again. He slid two fingers into her and started to stroke her most sensitive spot. The orgasm built, low in her belly.
She threw her head back and her body trembled.
“That’s it, Abbie, nice and slow.”
The pressure built and built, coiling tighter and tighter.Abbie’s leg shook.“Oh, fuck.”
Derek kept the same pace, drawing out her orgasm.
“Please, Derek.”
One stroke, two, his mouth on her clit, and her body splintered into a thousand shining pieces.Wave after wave crested, and Derek didn’t let up until she begged him to.
She gave him a sleepy smile.“That was incredible.”
Derek leaned over her and kissed her on the forehead. He helped her sit up and handed her the underwear he’d pulled off with his teeth earlier.
Abbie eased herself off the counter, did a quick cleanup, slipped on her underwear, and sat in one of the stools.
Derek moved the towel she’d been lying on and tossed it in front of the door that led to the laundry room.“So, what would you like for breakfast?”
“Breakfast?Isn’t it, like, lunch time already?”
“Even though I hate the word, let’s call it brunch and have French toast.”
Abbie smiled.“Excellent idea.If you give me a few minutes, I can help cook.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it.Keep your lovely ass right there and relax.”
Derek moved around the kitchen to get everything together for their meal, and Abbie took the opportunity to use the bathroom before she grabbed her sketchbook and pencils from the bedroom.
“Do you mind if I sketch while you cook?”
Derek shook his head.“Not at all.”
Abbie opened to a fresh page and put pencil to paper. She sketched Derek’s eyes, his mouth, his hands. The lines came easy to her, and Abbie barely had to look up at Derek for reference.
At some point, Derek had come over and watched her work.“You’re talented, Abbie.”
She blushed.“Thanks.These are just warm-ups, not really all that impressive.”
“Don’t put yourself down.I can barely draw a stick figure. You have talent and skill.”
