“Fuck,” he hissed, curling tighter into himself. “They’re gonna kill me.”
“They’re going to killallof us,” I corrected grimly. “Death by sex.”
Serena stretched behind me, absently scratching her nails along my spine. “Should we tell them to keep it down?”
“They won’t keep it down,” I said, dragging myself upright with a yawn. “At this point, they don’t evenknowwhat down is. The second Violet has those babies, she’s going on birth control.”
God knew we didn’t need another pregnancy anytime soon.
Benji let out a strangled noise as the pulse came again. “Nope. Nope. That’s it. I’m gonna pass out. Or combust. Or come on the mattress.”
I strangled out a breath as I climbed out of the nest. I wasn’t just going to sit there while my omegas broadcasted their need to the entire pack, and I most certainly wasn’t going to let Benji come on the nest. Sure, he’d clean it, but then it would lose its scent.
I started down the hallway, Benji and Serena following at my heels.
The three of us padded through the short stretch tomybedroom, more specifically, to the walk-in closet that hadn’t been mine in months, Violet’s nest.
The moment we stepped into the room, the scents of honey, and brown sugar, and vanilla hit us like a brick wall. The soft slapping of skin poured out from under the closet door, as did Skye’s pleas and Violet’s breathy moans.
Benji clutched my arm like a child about to be dragged into a haunted house and Serena pushed past us.
“Come on, if we wait any longer, Skye’s going to pass out,” she grumbled before pulling the closet door open.
And the sight before us was beautiful, oh myGodwas it beautiful.
Violet was on her knees in the center of the nest, straddling Skye’s thighs while she rode him backward. Her small hands braced on his legs, her baby bump pressed tight against them as she rocked in slow circles. Skye lay flat beneath her, chest heaving, eyes squeezed shut, clutching her hips like he was hanging on for dear life. His lips parted around a silent groan, tattooed bugs flexing over every inch of his arms and chest.
Violet–sweet, modest Violet–was dressed in one of her pastel sleep gowns, the hem bunched around her hips as she moved, her glasses crooked on her nose. She always kept clothes on now, self-conscious of the way pregnancy had changed her. She hated being stared at.
God help me, I loved staring anyway.
The contrast between them hit me low in the stomach. Violet soft, pastel, pretty–Skye dark, inked, coming undone beneath her. Our storm cloud and our beautiful little rainbow.
Violet sensed us first.
Her head jerked toward the door, cheeks flushed, lips parted ever so slightly. Her eyes softened instantly, pupils blowing wide at the sight of her pack.
Skye cracked his eyes open next, and the relief on his face was immediate, desperate.
“Oh, thank fuck,” he choked out. “She won’t slow down–” His face shifted as he held her tighter. “Ahh–help.”
Serena clicked her tongue before looking back at us.
“Well, don’t just stand there.Ouromega’s need us,” she smiled before crawling into the nest.
The first thing she did was caress Violet’s hip, then Skye’s thigh, then she eased their bodies apart just enough that Skye could actually breathe.
Violet whined silently at the loss of contact, reaching again, belly shifting with the movement but Serena slid between them. Skye gasped in relief, one arm thrown over his eyes like he’d just sprinted an entire marathon.
Serena gave us another look over her shoulder. “Well? Come on. They needallof us.”
Benji was already half way in the nest when Serena finished talking. He knelt beside Skye, brushing sweaty hair from his forehead and checking to make sure Skye was okay. With Serena and Benji tending to Skye, Violet was left sitting back on her knees, hands planted on her thighs, belly rising and falling with quick, frustrated breaths.
Then she crossed her arms and glared at me like the adorable little brat she absolutely was.
She wanted attention.
Correction: she wantedmyattention, and she wasn’t being subtle about it.
