I flip it over and note the patch that will sit over my heart:Rhiannon.I shrug it on over my T-shirt and turn so he can see the back.
“Fuuuck,” he growls, smacking my ass and making me whimper. He squeezes it tight, spinning me around then letting his hands trail around my waist, moving over me, kneading my body beneath my clothes. “Now, go check out every room. I still need to stop at Lavish before we go home.”
I groan. “Aiden, please…”
“Patience, darlin’. Fuck knows I’m using a lifetime’s worth right now. If I can do it, so can you. You’ll thank me.”
“Oh, I’m going to show my gratitude, am I? Be thankful you’re torturing me like this?” I ask with a laugh. Remembering the first time he taught me to be thankful on my knees in his office. My core heats with the memory.
“Fucking right, you are,” he growls as I slither out of hishands and turn to run. He chases me down the hall, and we spend the next hour checking out every beautiful, light-filled room in this place. It truly feels likeNicola’s Haven. And I know that somewhere out there, Nic is at peace now, and she’s smiling down on us.
Chapter 60
Aiden
All I wanted to do was take Mia home and fuck her till morning, but my luck tonight is getting called to Lavish. With Dagger gone, I’m going to have to make contact with his contacts, the Leonellis in Boston, to set up a discussion about them still taking our shipments. For some fucked-up reason, they trusted Dagger, but I’m confident I can get them to see the value in continuing to work with us in his absence.
I tell Mia to wait at home, notunder any circumstance to get herself off, and that I’ll be back. Then I make my way back to Lavish where this had better be fuckin’ quick. I’ve been semi-hard since this morning when I changed out her last plug, and she almost came all over my hand.
“They’ve been here for an hour,” I tell Raef and Stone as I meet them outside Lavish.
“Of course.” Raef hangs his helmet from his grip. “I had a feeling they’d come around.”
“Roz says there’s three of ’em,” I tell them as we head in.She called to let me know a group of high-ranking Wretched Souls members were hanging out in the back corner and had demanded to speak to me. Without their leader, of course, who has been mysteriously missing for a week.
“They wouldn’t think of starting anything in public, but this is to make a point. To show us they know what we did and that they aren’t afraid of us,” Stone pipes up as he pulls open the door.
“Well, it’s time to either put their minds at ease, or take them out back and shoot them between the eyes, whichever makes the most sense,” I tell my men as I spot the Souls crew the moment we enter the club.
“Gentlemen,” I say, taking a seat across from Richter, the Wretched Souls VP, who is pale, tall, and skinny, with light blond hair.
“Foxx,” he says, sipping his drink. “Boys.” He nods to my men.
“Don’t suppose you’re here for the entertainment.” I cut the shit right away. I don’t have time for this tonight.
“Nope,” Richter says, nodding for the rest of his guys to fuck off. They stand, and I look at Stone and Raef, giving them a nod. They stand too.
“Let us show you boys some hospitality,” Stone tells them, gesturing to the stage. They all move away, leaving us alone at the table.
I lean back in my chair and pull my lighter from my cut, flicking it on and off, trying to stop myself from smoking. “I’m really fucking tired, and all I want to do is go home to my girl, so if you’re here to puff out your chest, I’m not interested. We’ll take it out back, and I’ll put a bullet in your head now. There’s no need for these fucking theatrics in my club.”
“On the contrary,” he answers, getting my attention. “Word on the street is that you and the Hounds have made peace.”
I nod. “Working on it.”
“We want in on that.”
Interesting.I give him space to elaborate.
He leans in. “I’m thinking I’ll be voted in as president soon. The club is waiting for word…or a body, but I don’t think we’ll get either of those anytime soon.”
“No idea what you’re talking about,” I answer. “And you’re wasting my fucking time.”
“All right, to be clear, Dagger hasn’t been seen in days. He’s either dead or gone. Seeing as the last thing he’d ever do is give up the power of running this club, I’m gonna assume he’s dead. Of course, you wouldn’t know anything about that.”
“Of course not,” I answer.
He smirks. “Well, if you ever get wind of who’s responsible, pass a message along for me, will you?”
