Shower sure is lonely without you here.

You can’t send me things like that when I’m out with my friends. I don’t want to explain to Mia why I have a naked photo of her brother.

I’d love to hear that explanation.

Sebastian

Tropical Storm Georgianna formed in the Atlantic.

Did you see Georgianna formed in the Atlantic?

Jinx!

So much for no systems forming since we started sleeping together. What does the GFS say for trajectory?

Don’t look at it. It’s not pretty.

Really?

Florida landfall. Cat 3, some showing a Cat 4. Figured I’d give it two or three days before I take a deep dive into tracking.

But you’ve already started, haven’t you?

You know me well, Dunn.

I like to think I do, Monroe.

Did you have dinner delivered to my house?

Sebastian

I know you’ve been watching Georgianna all day, and you need to eat. I dropped something o?. Extra ketchup is in the bag, and I added some from my stash too.

Thank you. That’s really nice of you.

You’re coming to the beach with all of us, right? Mia wants to do a day over on the west coast.

West coast, best coast!

Do I get to see you in a bathing suit?

You do, but shouldn’t the selling point be hanging out with your friends?

You in a wet bikini is more of a draw, to be honest.

Men are such simple creatures.

Probably. But when it comes to you, pretty sure I’m just a pathetic mess of a man.

I stick my hand out the car window and draw hills in the warm September air. The miles to Clearwater Beach pass in a blur as we cruise west down I-4. My friends and Richard sit in the back seat, talking about the latest episode of a reality television show featuring a professional hockey player from California. A Jimmy Buffet song plays on the radio before Sebastian switches it to a podcast, and when I look over at him in the driver’s seat, I find a wide smile. Sunglasses slipping down his nose and his hair messy from the breeze. I bite my bottom lip to hold back a grin.

It’s been a month since we started sleeping together, and we’ve found a routine. He’s joined me on my show half a dozen times, much to the delight of my viewers. He’ll sit next to me and jot down notes on a Post-it he shields from my view, smirking when I try to look over his shoulder and figure out what he’s writing.

I’ll catch him looking at me when I start talking about air mass, mouth a little parted, eyes a little wide. When I ask him if he’s okay, he shakes his head like he’s clearing his mind. Drapes an arm over the back of my chair, then asks people to tell him what color #Quibby shirts he should order.

We spend time with our friends in the afternoons then fall into bed together late at night. He’ll come to my place and park a street over so Harlow doesn’t spot his car. We’ll cook dinner side by side, and he always leaves a handful of ketchup packets on my counter for me to find later.

Occasionally he’ll invite me over. I’ll sneak in through the backdoor at Cooper’s house, keeping our voices low while Sebastian drags me to his bedroom.
