Finn: Now that’s real talent. Can’t say I’m familiar with that trick, but I might need to add it to my repertoire.

Emma: I think it’s sleight of hand, but I can’t prove it.

Finn: It’d probably be weird if you tried.

Emma: I’m still tempted. How’s it going with not catering?

Finn: Boring. Hit some waves earlier.

Emma: You surf?

Finn: Only when I’m not rescuing defenseless cupcakes from predatory caterers.

Emma: Too soon.

Finn: You ever been surfing?

Emma: No, but I once created a giant water slide using five Slip ’N Slides from neighborhood kids. We slid like kings for an afternoon. Surfing seems like the next logical step.

Five Minutes Later

Emma: Finn? You still there?

Finn: Spaced for a sec. You sure you aren’t single?

Emma: Finn…

Finn: Sorry, sugar. It’s just that you’re kinda my dream girl.

Emma: I’m 100% taken.

Finn: Noted, again. And a giant Slip ’N Slide sounds amazing. Maybe I should do that now.

Emma: It’s not worth the grass burns.

Finn: I think you underestimate what I’d do for the craft. Speaking of, please excuse me while I go practice a new balloon animal trick.

Emma: Please don’t hurt yourself.

Monday

Teresa: Stop texting me a million gifs of baby elephants falling over.

Emma: I only sent four!

Teresa: Your bf has been gone for one day, and you’re already acting like a lovesick ninny.

Emma: Omg, Teresa, they’re just elephants.

Teresa: Find another way to entertain yourself!

Emma: Just trying to text my friend.

Teresa: You already sent me three Celine Dion music videos this morning.

Emma: She’s a national treasure.

Teresa: She’s Canadian.
