Emma: We’re just hanging out! Why did you run out so fast?

Teresa: Because I just walked in on you guys MAKING OUT.

Emma: Ugh, sorry, I don’t know why I lied. His kisses make me a little loopy.

Teresa: Then tell him he’s in charge of putting a sock on the door. He seems responsible enough.

Emma: I’m sorry, we’re leaving! I thought you had practice until nine. Sorry, I’m a bad roomie.

Teresa: You’re fine, I’d just rather not walk in on that. Text me a heads-up when you’re gonna be macking on him in our room.

Emma: It won’t happen again!

Teresa: Yes, it will, but with a sock next time.

Emma: Okay, fine, with a sock. Does it matter what color it is?

Teresa: No.

Emma: I have some animal print ones. Would zebra be too scandalous?

Teresa: Any sock is fine.

Emma: Maybe we can use the green polka-dot toe sock. It’s kind of fun, plus I can’t find its pair.

Teresa: The type of sock doesn’t matter.

Emma: One more thing… How did we look together?

Teresa: What do you mean?

Emma: Like me and Noah… kissing. Did it look weird?

Teresa: What the hell are you talking about? It looked like two people kissing.

Emma: But it didn’t look like I was an octopus trying to suck his face off, right? I don’t know what my form looks like. Did it seem like Noah was into it?

Teresa: …

Emma: I mean, it felt like he was liking it, but you never know.

Teresa: Is he watching you text this right now?

Emma: No, he’s rearranging the pillows we were making out on.

Teresa: You looked good together. Really good. Like you belong together.

Emma: Thanks, roomie. :)

Teresa: Anytime.

Friday

Emma: How many of those fancy pens do you even have?

Noah: Not that many. Maybe seven.

Emma: Maybe? You mean you might have an extra ninety-nine-dollar pen lying around that you don’t remember buying?
