“I love the way you grip my cock when you’re about to let go.” I rested my arms on either side of her head. “I think you owe me one more. Wasn’t that the deal?”

“I think you mean you owe me one more.” Her smirk had my cock twitching inside her. “Are you still up for the challenge?”

The woman was playing with fire and she knew it. “More than.”

With that, I moved in and out of her body with slow glides. Her hands moved down my back and she grabbed my ass. Her nails digging in spurred me on and my pace increased.

“Fuck, baby. I love the feel of your body.”

Bex met me thrust for thrust. Our breath mingled and I took her mouth. Tongues tangling and sweat coating our skins, the sounds of our bodies slapping together. All of it formed an erotic backdrop to making Rebecca Salinger mine. There wasn’t a single thing about her I didn’t love. And I knew she loved me too. We both knew, even if we didn’t say the words.

The thought of being loved by her was what did it. I could feel the tingle in my balls. “Bex, you need to get there.”

“I’m close.”

She started to take her hands off my ass, but I knew what she wanted and beat her to it. I pushed my hand between us.

I found her clit and moved my knees to adjust my angle inside her. I knew I’d found the right spot when her mouth went to my shoulder and her teeth bit into my skin. My movements turned erratic as I continued pumping into her.

A loud muffled cry escaped Bex as her pussy contracted around me once again. She was so tight, I savored the sensations for a few moments before I finally let go and followed her over the edge.

Our breaths mixed for a few minutes as we both returned to our bodies. As soon as I caught my breath, I headed to the bathroom. Once we were both cleaned up, I moved her so we could both get under the covers. Having her in my arms was the only thing I had allowed myself over the last few weeks. That was the one thing I would never compromise on.

Yeah, I worked awkward shifts sometimes and there were times when Bex would be away on a mission. But as long as we were both home, we would fall asleep in one another’s arms. It rarely happened that we woke up that way. Both of us needed our space.

As both our breathing regulated, Bex spoke. “I love you, Logan.” She let out a long, relieved sigh. “You are everything. I want you. I want this life we are building. I am never letting you again.”

“I love you, too, Becky.” More than anything, I loved her. “You are where my heart wants to rest.”

“I want this life we’re forming together. I want those kids. At first, I was determined just to keep all three of them together. Now I want all three of them under our roof.”

We both knew that was what we both wanted. We just needed to say it out loud to each other. Only then could we make formal plans. “I want that, too.”

Chapter Twenty-Six

BEX

I didn’t stop working all together, but since the shooting, I had started working from home. In the few days following the event, I had found a sort of routine.

Jared stopped by each morning to pick Landon up for pre-school and drop off Dom's homework that his younger brother would collect. Dom and I would work in silence for most of the morning until he got bored and started complaining.

Vicky had a tooth coming out and was more fussy than usual. She’d also been more clingy and both Logan and I suspected it was because it had been a while since she’d slept in a room by herself. I could handle the clinginess. Maybe it was selfish of me but I relished the idea of her wanting to be close to me all the time.

Even though Landon spoke more, he never spoke to Logan or I. It had been a month, and even though he’d been home alone with us, he still managed to let us know what he wanted, without uttering a word. There were times when I thought he was just being stubborn.

Brie had said it was because he couldn’t express what he was feeling. I wasn’t so sure. Anyone who beared witness to those tantrums would not doubt his ability to communicate hisdispleasure. He just didn’t feel like talking. He wasn’t talking to anyone at school either.

And if that was the case, then I wasn’t going to force him. Maybe it wasn’t healthy, but who said that talking was healthy? Both Dom and Logan erred on the side of quiet. My family? Not so much. There was no right way to be. I may need to teach him to be polite in a different way, but that was something I could work with.

When he finished kindergarten, things might be different. Mostly because his classmates would ostracize him if he continued to not speak. But that was not the bridge I needed to cross at this moment in time.

I looked over at Dom and rolled my eyes in a way that would have made him proud. “You’ve been staring at the same page for over an hour. Is there something you want to talk about?”

“Want to? No. But…”

“Dom, I know I’m not Logan. But you can talk to me. I love you and never want you to feel like we can’t have a conversation.”

He frowned, but his brow lifted at the same time. It was a truly comical sight. “You love me?”
