Her cheeks flushed, and she looked away.She fiddled with her fingers, probably thinking about their whole story together.But I liked when she showed me that other side of her—that snappy, shy side.
“What was the first thing he said to you again?”
“Lucifer, stop.”
I tilted her face to look up at me.“What was it?”I asked, trying to get her to lock on to my gaze and make her admit it.
She pressed her lips together and lightly pushed me back.“You can’t use your power on me, Luci.You know I’m too good for that.”
I chuckled and dropped the little trance I had been stirring up in my mind.“Well, you need someone else to fuck you, and Eros needs someone to feed off of.Iamthe perfect fit.”
“And …” she urged me to continue.
“And?”I asked, brow arched.“You haven’t stopped thinking about the way I fucked you last time?”
She smirked.“No!Don't think I don't know that you've thought about it often since that night.”Her hand grazed against my chest, her nails digging into the skin softly.“I know you want Eros.You have history with him.”

She gazed into my eyes, probably thinking she could take control of me like she had done with Eros so many times without even knowing it.Visions of us—her, Eros, and me—quickly ran through my head.
I grasped her chin in my hand.“You’re right.We do have history.Thousands of years of history.But since Eros met you, he won’t allow anything to go on between us.”
“Loyal.”Dani grinned.She parted her lips to say something and paused.“Do you want Eros for yourself?”
I paused, not expecting such a question.“That depends.Will you just be using me for the sex?”
She threw her head back and laughed, so angelic.“Unlike Eros, I can fuck people I don’t love.”Her fingers dug into my inner thigh.“But Eros loves you, and I …”

Her cheeks flushed.“Think I could put up with you.”

After a few moments, she gazed into my eyes.And instead of the steamy thoughts of lust rushing through my mind, she showed me something more, something warm.
For a split moment, my heart swelled in my chest.It was a feeling I hadn’t felt since I’d met Raphaela.
She gave me a small smirk.“I will make Eros okay with this.”She pointed between me and her.
I grazed my hand up her thigh.“And how will you do that?”
She grabbed my chin and pulled me closer.“The way I always have,” she mumbled against my lips and smirked.Her fingers slowly moved up my thigh and brushed over the front of my pants.Then she stood up and said over her shoulder, “You’ll see, Lucifer.”

I walked to the portal,not bothering to follow after her.I would let her do her magic.
