Tom’s eyes widened, and he nodded. “Let me get the paperwork started.

“Excuse me, don’t you offer a veteran discount?” Liam asked, seeing the sign on the door.

“Oh, you’re a veteran?” Tom asked Addy. “Thank you for your service. Yes, it’ll give you an extra five hundred off.”

Her eyes glimmered with excitement as she sat. She barely contained her enthusiasm when Tom reviewed the paperwork with her.

Liam took out his phone and texted his new boss.

I’m in Seattle. Do you know if any team members close by?

He saw the three dots appear, and then Leo responded. Taco and Shadow went to pick up a part for Tess’ food truck. What’s up?

Addyson found an SUV, and she doesn’t feel comfortable driving it yet. I hoped someone might be able to drive mine back and park it at Ty’s. I’ll get it after we eat dinner.

Let me check. Leo texted.

Liam watched Addy bite her nail as she read the fine print. He imagined taking the finger and putting it in his mouth to distract her from biting it.

Taco said he’s about ten minutes away. Saint will drive it back and leave it at Ty’s. Leo texted him a minute later.

Thanks. He typed out as Addyson shook Tom’s hand and gazed at him with pure delight.

They brought her vehicle around and she stared at it in awe.

“Go stand next to it, and I can get a picture of you,” he instructed. “Then you’ll have a photo of the first time you suckered a car dealer out of a good sum of money.”

“Only if you’ll be in it with me,” Addy said. “After all, your hand signals started it.”

“Deal,” he said with pleasure. Holding out his phone, Liam put his arm around her and she held up the keys and smiled. He showed her the picture and saw Taco pull in two cars down. “Give me a minute,” he said, walking over to Taco’s truck.

Saint and Taco grinned as they watched him approach.

“We got an SOS saying you need us to pick up your vehicle. I see you’re picking up something else, and it doesn’t have four wheels,” Taco said, arching his brow at Liam.

“Cut it out,” he said, glancing over at Addy. “Here’s my keys. I appreciate the save and I’m happy to return the favor.”

“Did you hear him? I’ve got two kids and need a babysitter next weekend,” Saint said. “You’re an answer to my prayers.”

Liam’s mouth opened and closed. He couldn’t take it back after seeing the expression on his new teammate’s face. “Tell me when and where,” he promised.

“I’m only joking. The grans might have a heart attack if they thought we asked someone else before them. We have an entire circle of family who will drop everything for each one of us. Have fun with Addyson. I think this might be the first time I’ve seen her smile. Tell her we said, congratulations.”

“Will do,” he said as Saint got out of the truck.

He strode toward Addy, who appeared crestfallen.

“Do you need to go to work?” she asked, gazing up at him.

“No, why?”

“Because Taco and Saint work for Serenity Securities,” she replied while watching Saint get into the SUV.

“I texted while you signed the paperwork. They’re in the neighborhood and offered to take my vehicle to Ty’s while I rode with you,” he explained. “Do we need to stop at your house to take Zeus outside?”

“Really? You did this for me?” she asked in awe.

“Yes, silly. I mean, how can you drive your new vehicle without having a wingman to tell you how awesome it is?” he asked, watching the glow in her eyes.
