I'm suddenly aware of the heavy arm that’s draped over my waist.

Fuck.

I didnotmean to sleep over. In fact, I have a rule that I never do sleepovers. So tell me why I'm waking up in Kass's bed wearing nothing but a shirt that smells like him. I look down at the tattered fabric around the neck of the shirt. The logo on it isn't one I recognize. Goddamnit, it's his shirt. After a moment of thought, I recall putting it on after the last time we fucked. I went into his closet, naked, and started milling through his drawers. He questioned it, but didn't stop me.

But how did I get in here? The last thing I remember is lying on his couch in the living room, berating him with questions about his job. We were laughing our assesoff as he told story after story about some of the craziest people he's worked with. We were passing my weed pen back and forth, which could definitely have contributed to how funny I thought he was.

I rack my brain, trying to remember anything after that, but I come up blank.

I do remember him rubbing my feet at one point, so maybe that's when I dozed off. But how did I end up here, in his bed? He must have carried me. I didn't tell him I wasn't planning on sleeping over. It's not something I advertise. I usually just get up and go once I've had my fun.

Kass and I definitely had our fun last night—three times, depending on how you're counting. But after, I didn't have the urge to up and leave. Being around him is so effortless and comfortable that the thought of leaving didn't even cross my mind.

So what the fuck do I do now?

I lift his arm gently, trying not to wake him, and slip out from under it. I lay it on the mattress next to him. He shifts a little, and I think he's about to wake up, but I realize that he's just readjusting. He reaches out his arm to where I was just lying, his palm flat against the crisp sheet. Is he searching for me in his sleep? Okay, I hate to admit it, but that's actually pretty fucking cute, if you like that sort of shit.

I crawl backward off his bed and search around for my clothes. There's enough light from the sun that I can see what I'm doing, but I can't find them anywhere.

"Looking for something?"

"Fuck!" I jump and whirl around, slamming my elbow into his dresser. Hard. "Oww!"

"You're a little jumpy there. It almost seems as thoughyou were trying to sneak out on me, Blake." His voice is deep and raspy from just waking up.

There he goes with that nickname again. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't growing on me, though. I tried to have people start calling me that in high school, but with Lou only being a year older than me, people got confused, so B it was.

"No, you just scared the shit out of me. I thought you were sleeping."

"So, you weren't trying to sneak out?"

"No. I mean, yeah. I was. Actually, I was trying to look for my clothes, andthenI was going to leave."

He sits up in bed with his back against his headboard. The sheet falls down his bare chest, exposing his abs that I thoroughly explored last night.

"For the first time in my life, I'm actually grateful for being a light sleeper."

Having nothing more to say to him, I continue the search for my clothes.

"Come on, at least stay for breakfast."

"Did I fall asleep on the couch, and did you carry me in here?"

"Yeah." He stretches his arms out wide and yawns.

I watch the muscles in his arms flex when the stretch reaches its max. Mmmmmmm.

Focus, B! "Why didn't you wake me up?" I duck down and check under the bed for any of my lost articles of clothing.

"I don't know. You looked tired, and you passed out on the couch." He leans over the side of the bed and looks down at me on all fours. "Sorry, did I do something wrong?"

"I don't do sleepovers."

"Okay..."

Finding nothing under the bed, I stand up and exit hisbedroom. Maybe they're in the living room? I walk down the hallway and find them sprawled out on the floor. That's right! I took my clothes off out here for the second time, and then we went into his bedroom for the third time, where I stole his shirt after.

I hear heavy footsteps coming down the hall. "Do you have somewhere to be today?"
