He was so deep, and Sky was so slippery and hot. The governor andthe rest of the world were swept away. All Mason could feel was Sky. Every tight slide sent goosebumps down Mason’s arms and back. He had believed that condoms didn’t make much of a difference, that sex would feel just about the same with or without one, but he had beenwrong.
This was heaven, being deep and bare inside of Sky, able tofeelthe softest flesh clinging to his cock with every silky slide. This was the most intimate experience of Mason’s life and it was too late when he realized he was hooked. He wouldneverbe able to get enough.
“I love you, Mase.”
“Fuck! Sky!” Mason was crying as he came, spilling deep in Sky’s core, knowing that this was the only place he’d ever find this much joy and pleasure. “Fuck, I love you so much.”
It was such a terrible, impossible, awful thing. But Mason had never felt happier or more content in his entire life.
Chapter Seventeen
Birds were chirping and the room was filled with sunlight when Sky opened his eyes. For a magical, lingering moment, all Sky heard and saw were happy birds and sunshine. His flickering, beating body and awkward, itchy limbs were gone. His muscles had melted, and his spine had been replaced by air. A drowsy, sated smile curved his lips as he remembered how he had achieved boneless bliss.
Mason had promised to take care of Sky’s needs and he had certainly delivered. In ways that Sky hadn’t known were possible. He had expected good sex and to get off once or twice, but Sky lost track of how many times he came. The orgasms just kept coming. For almosttwohours. Mason had grossly underestimated his endurance.
Honestly, it was kind of rude. I did not sign up for all of that.
Would Sky sign up and go for that ride again? In a motherfucking heartbeat.
But Sky would take some Tylenol beforehand and have plenty of ice ready if he could do it all over. His brain was reconnecting to his nervous system, and his body didn’t appreciate all the abuse or the way he had slept. The upper half of his body was face-down while the lower half was turned toward the window and his right leg was stretched out behind him. His right arm was flung over his head and the left was crushed between his body and the mattress.
“How?” he groaned as he shifted and heaved his face off the pillow so he could see out the window. It still appeared to be morning.
Did I fall and land like this?
Sky squinted at the ceiling and frowned. “Holy shit!” He laughed as he flopped onto his back and scrubbed his face. He was sore in places that hadn’t been sore since he lost his virginity or his first week at Columbia.
“Morning,” a velvety voice drawled, scaring the almighty fuck out of Sky.
“Jesus, Mase!” he shouted and jumped when he realized he wasn’t alone. “Why the hell are you still here?”
Instead of being offended or alarmed, Mason chuckled as he brushed the hair away from Sky’s face and traced his cheek. “I’m a full-service fuck buddy. Cuddling is my specialty, morning sex is included in the package, and I’ll make anything you want for breakfast.”
“I didn’t sign up for that either,” Sky complained and Mason made a worried sound.
“Did you think I’d hit it and run?”
Sky nodded slowly. “That’s how it usually works. I thought you understood the protocol.”
“Where would I run to?” Mason asked, a deep, minty rumble that gave Sky goosebumps. “I live here and we aren’t strangers. This is different.” His thumb traced Sky’s lower lip before Mason leaned in and kissed him. This kiss was gentler—lazier—than the hungry, heated kisses they had shared hours earlier and in the Reflection Room. Mason’s lips clung to Sky’s as the ends of their noses rubbed and their foreheads touched. He was tender, and he wasn’t in a hurry or headed in any particular direction.
What is he doing?
No one had ever kissed Sky like this, just for the sake of touching and tasting his lips. Kisses were supposed to get things started and keep things moving. How was Sky supposed to react to this idle, unambitious, yet toe-curling kiss?
Sky drew back, frowning as he searched Mason’s face and his own experiences for an appropriate way to cope with this new and very different situation. He couldn’t find anything so Sky did the next most natural thing and simply asked Mason. He would always be safe with Mason, and he could always expect an honest answer.
“What the fuck is happening?” he whispered, earning a soothing shush and more gentle kisses.
“I can’t tell you how long I’ve wanted to be close to you like this. Just us naked with no reason to hurry or hide. I don’t know if I’ll ever get another chance, so I’m cherishing every single moment. You’re even more beautiful like this.”
“Oh.” That was… Nice? But it didn’t help Sky figure out whathewas supposed to be doing or feeling. Questions started stacking in his brain, but it froze when it ran into a terrible possibility. “What about Sina and Sam? What if they come home and catch us together?”
“Stop worrying.” Mason pecked at Sky’s lips and hummed seductively. “Her shift doesn’t end for a few more hours and breakfast runs late after a kids’ sleepover. The kids won’t wake up until midmorning because it’s impossible to get them to shut up and settle down if there are more than two of them. The parents are groggy because the noisy boogers kept them up all night, and one of them has to make a donut and coffee run because who has the energy to make two dozen pancakes and bacon for a handful of cranky kids?”
“I see…” Some of the morning was starting to make sense. Sky chewed on his lip and searched through the tangle of questions and concerns to sort out his options.
“Easy,” Mason scolded and kissed the part of Sky’s lip he had been chewing on. “I’m still using that,” he teased and sucked on said lip.
