Apparently, Sky had found one of Mason’s triggers. His eyes rolled, and a loud, wavering moan spilled from him as Sky’s passage was flooded with slick heat.
Sky released Mason’s mouth as he dismounted and crawled towards the headboard.
“Fuck, Sky! You’re so perfect! So, so good!” Mason said drunkenly and opened wide when Sky guided the head of his cock to Mason’s lips.
“That’s better,” Sky muttered, fisting his hand in Mason’s hair and grabbing the headboard. He didn’t want to hear about anything else, especially if it involved love orthem. That was messy and made the center of Sky’s chest feel icky and fluttery, like he was in trouble and should run.
Instead, Sky closed his eyes and tuned out everything but the pleasure and the pressure swelling in his core until he imploded and came all over Mason’s tongue and face. Sky licked him clean, then crashed onto the bed next to Mason. He was about to escape for a shower when Mason’s arms tightened around him.
“Hey, you know how you’re supposed to go back on Thursday?” Mason murmured into Sky’s hair.
“After the dedication ceremony,” Sky confirmed as he raised his head and his brow hitched warily.
Mason gave him a sheepish smile and his cheeks turned pink. “Sina’s already set it up so my parents will watch Sam next weekend. They think she’s going to a medical conference but she’s actually spending the weekend a few towns over with Lexie. Bill’s going on a fishing trip so I’ll beall alone…” he explained suggestively.
“Rude of him not to invite you,” Sky said, narrowing his eyes. “This was only supposed to be for a night and it was supposed to be over after you made me breakfast,” he reminded Mason. “But now you want to spend a weekend together? I don’t have the emotional tools to deal with this!”
“I know and I’m sorry!” Mason whispered more sorries into Sky’s hair and held him tighter. “I feel like a monster for asking for more when I’ve already taken too much. I don’t want to let you go, though. Seeing you every morning and hurrying home to talk to you has felt like a dream. And I keep thinking about how incredible it would be to have you here for four more days and to have you all to myself for a whole weekend.”
“A whole weekend?” Sky groaned as his brain shouted out all the reasons why that was a bad, bad, bad idea while his heart skipped faster and faster. He was giddy at all the opportunities to bask in the warm safety of Mason’s attention and affection. Fireworks were going off in his bathing suit area too, making it so much harder for Sky to remember those reasons. “What are we going to do?”
“Anything you want,” Mason purred as his lips drifted lower and nibbled under Sky’s ear. “I’m dropping Sam off at my parents’ after school on Friday and Sina’s not picking him up until late Sunday morning. They think I’ll be in Chicago for a convention for software nerds, so I’ll be stuck in the house.”
“I see…” That wasn’t what Sky meant at all. He meant, what were they going to “do” in the general sense. Where was this going in Mason’s mind, because Sky was lost and didn’t see how it wouldn’t end in catastrophe. “And I would be leaving on Sunday, instead of Thursday?” he verified.
“That’s entirely up to you, you could stay longer. But we’d have most of next week and then the weekendalone. Wouldn’t it be great?”
“Probably,” Sky said, attempting to think around all of the sex they would obviously be having to identify the possible complications. “Won’t it be weird if I’m still here while you and Sina are out of town and Sam’s at your parents?”
“Sina can say you’re wrapping up some last-minute estate stuff and house sitting for us. It makes sense that you’d be more comfortable here now, instead of alone at Sutton House.”
“But Nadine got back yesterday. Why wouldn’t I stay at Mom’s?”
“Your room is still being used for storage and you don’t need an excuse for wanting to avoid Adele,” Mason said and Sky nodded.
“I would like to avoid my mother as much as possible, if I am staying… That part would not be a lie. I could sneak in and spend some time with Nadine before Mom rises for her morning martini. It was weird being here without her.”
“There you go! I could even drop you off on my way into the office.”
“What about everything else? What happens after next weekend?” Sky finally asked.
“Ah.” Mason paused and rested his chin on Sky’s chest. “I’m trying not to think about that, if I’m being honest. Should we talk about it?” he asked with a grimace.
“Maybe, but I don’t want to either,” Sky said, chickening out. “The whole point of getting laid was so I could relax but it’s beginning to stress me out and I’m already having regrets.”
“How about breakfast, instead?” Mason rolled from the bed and held out a hand to Sky. “Let’s get cleaned up and I’ll make you pancakes.”
“That I can handle,” Sky said, allowing Mason to pull him onto his feet and tow him to the bathroom.
“What about a trip to the library afterwards and lunch at Gino’s?” he suggested and all of Sky’s concerns were immediately forgotten.
“The libraryandpizza? Let’s go!”
Chapter Eighteen
“Have you been to the library since it was remodeled?”
Sky was retreating again. He was quieter—distant and distracted—as they showered and ate breakfast. Mason was hoping the library would snap him out of it and bring him back.
