I swallowed hard, my Adam’s apple almost painful as it bobbed up and down. Fuck me! All I could think about was how much I wanted to take a picture of the mess I’d left behind.

And as fucked up and as impossible as it was, part of me, a big part of me, hoped her birth control would fail this time and let my seed take root. It was all kinds of wrong. Not only was the time most definitely wrong for the two of us, this was all new.

She’d resent me if it happened.

She had dreams of her own, and I would never put them at risk. One day, the beast begrudgingly growled inside my head. If not this time, one day we’d breed her. I wanted her life tied up in a tangled mess with mine. One we could never sever.

One day.

Carefully, I rolled away and reached for the sexy-as-hell panties we’d used as restraints. My eyes caught on the material, and I brought it up to my nose like a fucking creep. I couldn’t help myself. My mouth watered as I inhaled her scent deeply. I groaned an exhale as her scent engrained itself into my brain. I looked at her just in time to see her staring at me. Teresa was still lying on her belly, sprawled out, but her dark brown eyes were locked on me.

“Pervert.” She smiled, and I chuckled.

“Come here,” I ordered, surprised she let me pull and tuck her into my side.

“I should go clean up,” she whispered.

“I got you,” I rasped, leaning down to kiss her. This kiss was different. Slow and sweet. Intensely intimate. Intimacy that tripled when I pulled away and used the panties to gently clean her up.

Teresa’s lips parted, and even though I knew she was sleepy, hell, we both were, I had a feeling with the way herbreath hitched and eyes dropped to my mouth, plus her quickly hardening body, it was going to be a long night where neither of us got any rest.

“So?” Sadie asked as she poured milk into her bowl of cereal. “This weekend kind of went by in a blur, huh?”

“Yeah,” I chuckled as I chewed. It most definitely had gone by in a blur. A hot, sweaty, orgasm-filled blur. Since I had started college, there hadn’t been a day when I’d missed a run or a workout, even when I was dying from a hangover or sick as a dog.

But this weekend, I hadn’t even worn socks! To say Jeremy had kept me tied to his bed would have been a literal understatement. My lips started to twitch, and Sadie started to laugh.

“So, you’ve been dating a baseball boy?”

“He’s a catcher.”

“The catcher,” she corrected. I ignored the way my cheeks burned. I had no idea why this was suddenly hard to talk about. I loved and thrived off girl talk. Or I had in the past. Now, talking about things between Jer and me felt… almost wrong.

“A pretty good one from what I see.”

“What?” My head tilted. “What do you mean?”

“He caught you, didn’t he?” I snorted. The two of us looked at one another and broke into a fit of giggles before I hip-checked her.

“What about you? Little Miss No-thank-you, please-don’t-even-think-about-looking-in-my-direction is dating a future hall of famer!”

“Umm, so are you!”

“Dating.” I started to shake my head. The spoon of cereal that had been halfway up to my mouth froze in the air.

Was that what we were doing?

I knew he’s said a lot of sweet nothings in the heat of the moment. He’d also said a lot of dirty sweet nothings, but that didn’t mean he meant them, right?

“You like him,” Sadie spoke up, breaking the silence. I set my bowl down on the breakfast counter.

“No,” I defensively answered and made a face. “Yes.” I hated lying. “I shouldn’t.” I chewed on my bottom lip. Fear rolled through me, and before I knew it, I was pacing.

“Hey.” Sadie reached for my hand before leading me to the couch. We both sat down and stared at each other. “What’s up? Talk to me. You’re freaking out.”

“I’m…” I hesitated.
