I fuck him even deeper, in and out, hip flush to his ass, lovingthe way he falls apart in my hands, the way he sobs when I rub my thumb over the sensitive head of his cock, the way his hole clenches around me, sucking up everything I give him. When he comes, it’s savage—a wild, helpless cry, cum splattering the wall, his whole body locking up. I don’t stop, not even when he’s shaking. I ride him through it, chasing my own end, gripping his hip as he’s trying to stay up.
“That’s it. Fucking take it, baby, almost there,” I grunt, slamming in deep, emptying myself inside him, marking him, owning him. When I finally let go, I don’t pull out. I let us both sink down, Rhys still pressed to the wall, my arms around him, both of us trembling, bodies sticky and destroyed, breaths tangled together. I nuzzle behind his ear, voice raspy. “You did so good. You’re safe with me, baby.”
He turns his head enough to meet my eyes, grin lazy, eyes glassy and soft. After, we lie in the dark. His back to my chest, my arm around him, his hand over mine where it rests at his stomach. Our breathing slowing. The lamp on, casting everything gold and in warm shadows. I press my mouth to the back of his neck. His fingers lace through mine and he holds on.
"You okay?"
Rhys huffs a laugh. "You ask me that a lot."
"You don't answer it a lot."
He turns his head, looking at me. "Yeah." A pause. "You?"
I look at our bodies tangled together. At our hands laced on top of the duvet. "I don't know."
He goes still. "That's not exactly reassuring."
"No, listen." My fingers tighten around his. "I don't know what this is supposed to look like."
His expression softens. "Neither do I."
"You know I've never done this before."
"I know."
"It's a lot." The admission feels bigger than it should. "I'm scared of screwing it up."
Something shifts in his face. "Jamie—"
"But I know I want you here." The words come easier after that. "I know I want you with me."
His eyes shine at the admission. "Okay."
"Okay?"
A small smile. "Yeah. Me too."
I look at our hands again. "And I know I don't want to go back."
"Back to what?"
I meet his eyes. "The nothing I had before."
The silence that follows feels warm.
Safe.
I pull him a little closer and he presses us together.
I close my eyes.
For the first time in as long as I can remember, I don't start planning tomorrow.
I just stay here.
