“Cum on this dick while I cum in that pussy.”

Love fucked me harder, making me hold on to him tighter until we both came together.

Once we were done, we moved back over to the couch and started to eat the food that I brought, which was cold as hell by the time we got to it.

“Would you have let me go if I said I wanted to?” I asked.

Love nodded quick. “Hell yeah, I would have let you leave.”

I raised my eyebrow, staring at him.

“And then I would have spent all the free time I had showing you that I was what you needed, and I was prepared to do that.”

“You are truly one of a kind.”

He nodded. “Oh, I know, mamas. You are too. That’s why I wouldn’t give up on you.”

I shook my head. I could feel myself blushing.

“Now we need to plan a new wedding.”

Love stopped eating and looked at me as if he had thought of something.

“You trust me?”

“Of course I do,” I responded.

He nodded. “Let me take care of the wedding.”

“What do you want me to do?”

He thought about it for a second.

“All I need you to do is show up. I have the rest.”

“Okay,” I said softly. “I will see you there.”

Love and I spent the rest of the day in his office with the door shut, talking and laughing. I naturally expressed the things I had been feeling since I had been home, and he assured me that he had me and our family every step of the way.

Somehow, we got on the topic of a change of scenery and having an extra home when he looked like he got another idea.

“Nigga! What are you over there thinking about?” I asked.

He laughed and took a sip of his drink. “Our future, just planning our next steps.”

Chapter 28

Starting Again

When we left my store holding hands and laughing together, I felt like we were starting over. Leaving everything with Gio in the past and moving on with our lives the way we needed to, and to do that the right way, we needed a wedding without Jada and Gio stopping us.

After assuring Amir that we were good and Islah was off, not paying attention to me, I went down to the basement and got to work on my plan. I sent messages to who I needed to, bought plane tickets, and let who needed to know that was taken care of, and by the time it hit about four in the morning, I still wasn’t done.

But I stopped and went to lay down with my girl. When I walked into the room as quiet as I could, Islah was still asleep.

I always stared at her while she slept. I couldn’t help it. She looked too damn good not to. I slid into bed behind her and wrapped my arms around her, feeling her body fall back into mine.

We lay there for about an hour. I listened to her snore and the soft sound from the TV until she rolled over to face me and opened her eyes slowly with a smile.
