Chapter 12

Selene's workshop had become my favorite place in the manor.

It wasn't just the intoxicating scent of dried herbs and candle wax, or the way the afternoon light filtered through the frosted windows and painted everything in shades of gold and amber. It was thepotentialthat hummed in the air—the sense that anything was possible here, that magic was not just a tool but a living, breathing presence that responded to intention and desire.

I'd spent the morning organizing inventory for Moonlit Trinkets, photographing enchanted candles and carefully arranging crystal displays for the shop's upcoming launch. My fingers still smelled like lavender and sage, and there was a smudge of glitter on my cheek that I hadn't bothered to wipe away. Selene had watched me work with a knowing smile, her emerald eyes tracking my every movement with an intensity that made my skin prickle.

"You're distracted," she observed, setting aside the mortar and pestle she'd been using to grind something that sparkled like crushed starlight. "Your energy is scattered. Unfocused."

I looked up from the amethyst cluster I'd been photographing. "I'm fine. Just thinking about the shop launch. There's so much to do—"

"The shop will be there tomorrow." She crossed the workshop with that fluid, predatory grace that always made my breath catch, her hips swaying beneath the flowing silk of her robe. "But right now, there's something I've been wanting to explore. An experiment, of sorts."

My pulse quickened. "What kind of experiment?"

"The intersection of witch magic and demon magic." She stopped in front of me, close enough that I could smell her perfume—jasmine and night-blooming flowers and something darker, more mysterious. "I've been curious about how your body responds to each of us individually. But I wonder what would happen if we combined our energies. Layered them. Created something... new."

Behind me, I felt a shift in the air—a cool presence, familiar and electric. Azrael materialized from the shadows near the door, his white hair luminous in the dim light, his golden eyes soft but intent.

"Selene approached me with the idea," he said, his voice that low, velvet murmur that always made my thighs clench. "I found it... intriguing. If you're willing."

My mouth went dry. "Both of you. Together."

"Together." Selene's smile was slow and wicked. "I want to see how much pleasure your human body can hold. I want to push you to your limits and then beyond them. I want to feel you shatter between us." Her hand came up to cup my face, herthumb tracing my lower lip. "But only if you want it, darling. Only if you trust us."

I looked between them—Selene's emerald eyes blazing with wicked intent, Azrael's golden gaze soft and reverent—and felt the answer settle into my bones with absolute certainty.

"I trust you. Both of you."

Selene's smile widened. "Good girl."

She led me to a different part of the workshop—a space I hadn't explored before, hidden behind a curtain of living vines that parted at her touch. Beyond it was a room that felt older than the rest of the manor, its stone walls covered in faded murals depicting scenes I couldn't quite decipher. Candles flickered in iron sconces, casting dancing shadows across a low, wide bed piled with silk cushions and soft furs. The air smelled of incense and ancient magic, and something about the space made my skin prickle with anticipation.

"This was my private sanctuary," Selene explained, guiding me toward the bed. "Before you came. Beforewebecame what we are. I used it for meditation, for deep magic, for connecting with the forces that fuel my power." She stopped at the edge of the bed and turned to face me. "Tonight, I want to share it with you. With both of you."

Azrael moved to stand behind me, his cool presence a counterpoint to Selene's warmth. His hands settled on my shoulders, gentle but grounding, and I felt the familiar tingle of his demon magic brushing against my senses.

"We'll go slowly," he murmured against my ear. "We'll let you feel everything. Every layer. Every sensation. And if it becomes too much—"

"I'll tell you." I leaned back into him, letting his cool strength support me. "I trust you."

Selene's expression softened. "I know you do, darling. That's what makes this so beautiful."

She reached for the hem of my shirt and drew it up slowly, her knuckles brushing against my skin and leaving trails of warmth in their wake. I lifted my arms, letting her undress me with the same deliberate care she brought to everything—each movement intentional, reverent, worshipful. When I stood bare before them, the cool air of the sanctuary raising goosebumps on my exposed skin, she stepped back and simply looked at me.

"Exquisite," she breathed. "Every inch of you. Exquisite."

Behind me, Azrael's hands slid down my arms, his cool fingers intertwining with mine. "She glows," he said softly. "Like a flame. Like a star. I've never seen anything so beautiful."

My cheeks flushed, but I didn't look away. I couldn't. Their combined attention was intoxicating—Selene's emerald gaze devouring me from the front, Azrael's golden presence enveloping me from behind. I was caught between them, suspended in a moment that felt both eternal and achingly brief.

"Lie down," Selene instructed, gesturing to the bed. "On your stomach first. Azrael, behind her. I want to watch."

I obeyed, settling onto the silk cushions with my cheek pressed against the cool fabric. The furs beneath me were soft and warm, and I could smell Selene's perfume lingering in the fibers—jasmine and magic and something uniquelyher. Azrael positioned himself behind me, his body a cool, solid presence at my back. I felt his hands on my hips, guiding me onto my knees, positioning me exactly where he wanted me.

"Ready?" he murmured, his lips brushing my shoulder.
