"I intend to go speak with the principal and superintendent myself. Someone needs to call them on their bullshit.” I wasn't going to let them get away with this. "They shouldn’t get away with suspending her for things that aren’t her fault. I do have a favor to ask of you.”
“What’s that?” he asks.
“I want Philip’s address.”
“You want the douchebag's address?” A grin slips into place.
“Yeah, I plan on paying him a visit and see to it that he stays away from Delaney. Him fucking with her is over with. I won’t have him freaking her out by texting her constantly.”
Mammon’s grin turns into a full-blown smile as he nods. “I’ll get his address for you. But I’m going with you. I think putting the fear of God into him will be enough to get him out of town.”
Chapter Nineteen
Delaney
No matter what I say or do, I feel like it's always never-ending. The storm clouds I live beneath seem to want to grow bigger and bigger. Between the frustration of not being able to go to work to teach my students, the fire of my home, and the looming gloom of Philip, it just isn't easing the ache inside me.
Maybe I shouldn’t be a teacher anymore. It’s always been my passion. But to work in a school district that will judge the way these people do, I’m not sure I want to. I could drive to the next town, though it’s not exactly far, but I really don’t want to.
Then there’s the fire circling in my mind. Not just the fire itself, but rather, who would do that to my home? Why?
So many questions swirl around about all that’s happening, but it’s not all that’s wrong with me.
I’ve never been so frustrated, not like this. It’s beyond all rational thinking. I know it has to do with my desire for the man who’s slowly breaking through the walls. Because of him, I’m suffering with a need I’m not used to.
I haven’t even had a moment to ease the achy feeling between my thighs. The one time I tried and it didn’t work. My hand isn't enough. Not even when it’s Tyler I’m thinking about touching me. I can't get the right amount of pressure close to what I need. Hence the frustration getting to me.
It seems Tyler has fully taken over any and all fantasies I have. Not that I’ve had a lot of those in the past. My imagination until recently hasn’t been the best when it comes to sexual visuals. No matter how many romance books I read. The ones I have now, well, they're definitely something else, and they always center around Tyler. Watching him work today, the way his muscles bulged and flexed, yeah, he definitely has me hot and bothered.
The man was essentially walking sin on a stick, at least based on how he appeared doing almost anything. However, today I spent most of it clenching my thighs together to try and relieve the ache between them, just from the show he’d given me.
Lexy had texted while we were still at the arena earlier saying she was picking up Dash and the two of them were going out for an auntie-nephew date. I wasn't sure whether Tyler put her up to it or not. The two of us were alone, no one around to disrupt us, and all I wanted to do was jump his bones.
It has to be the hormones. I’ve never wanted to do such a thing before. That’s actually a lie. The night we slept together, I wanted to then too.
After we got home, Tyler announced we were having steaks for dinner. He prepped everything, and gone outside to start the grill.
As hungry as I was, I honestly wanted something else altogether.
The man himself.
My brain has officially been taken over by my hormones. All I want to think about is sex today. I feel like I’m turning into asex crazed bimbo. Though, it’s also more than wanting sex from him. I need his touch.
Tyler steps back in the house through the back patio door, the smell of charcoal wafting in behind him. "Coals will take a little bit to get right before I put the steaks on."
"Okay." I nod and ask, "Is there anything I can do?"
"Nope, potatoes are in the oven. Green beans are seasoned, and I'm cooking them on the grill with the steaks," he says, moving to me, wrapping an arm around my waist. "Is there something you want to do?"
Boy, was that a loaded question. There's definitely something I want to do. However, I wasn't about to tell him that.
"Um." I clench my fingers in his shirt to hold on.
Work brain. Work.
Tyler grins and shifts us to the counter behind me. Before I can utter a question of what he's doing, he lifts me and sets me down, moving in between my thighs.
With one arm still tight around my waist, the other hand goes up into my hair, his fingers tangling in the strands.
