He purposely hadn’t told me his size, and honestly, that was fine by me. I loved a challenge and this just gave me an opportunity to prove myself. To show them that I wasexactlywho I said I was.

I hated that someone had hurt them both so badly that it was impossible for them to trust me or any hockey player. They’d written us all off before I even had a chance.

Only time could fix a gap like this. It required patience and persistence, two things I had in spades.

Skipping past all the shorts in the same cut, I quickly found a jade green pair of trunks that I knew was going to pull the green in his eyes forward.

Rylan’s eyebrows rose as I handed them over, but simply took them and went back inside the dressing room.

Don’t worry, omega, I can be patient.

The moment he opened the door, his eyes narrowed slightly. I chuckled at his reaction, knowing exactly what the issue was.

“You hate that I’m right, don’t you?”

“I despise it,” he agreed vehemently, but even he couldn’t hide the slight smirk this time.

“It’s okay to admit it, omega. I know I have good taste. Those look incredible on you.”

“And so very humble, too,” he muttered.

Rylan took a second in front of the mirror, twisting around and taking in the shorts from all angles.

They fit him perfectly. I’d been right about his size. The difference was the style was tailored to omegas and their shape.

The way they rested on his hips accentuated his natural shape, making him even more mouthwatering than before.

Perhaps I should’ve been more careful since he was about to be around my entire team, but I wanted my omega to feel good and confident.

More than that, I knew he would eat my entire team alive if they even tried to make a pass at him. They both would.

“Alright. What else should I get?”

For the first time since meeting Rylan, his voice lacked its usual animosity. The warmth that spread through my chest only confirmed how fucking bad I had it for these two.

I meant what I said. I’d prove to them that my goal wasn’t to hurt, own, or control them. All I wanted was to worship these omegas like they deserved. To succeed where everyone else in their life had truly fumbled.

I’d jump through whatever hoops they presented, and I’d do it with a smile on my damn face because they deserved this life together and so did I.

It wasn’t like I’d had a rough life. My entire life was full of comfort and security, just not any real connection anymore.

My parents were rich snobs. I was a prop, not a child to them. My grandparents were the ones who had made up for the coldness.

They were the loving, doting sort. If it wasn’t for them I’d probably be a very different person. They taught me to work hard and stay humble.

Two things that I made sure to always be. Not just for myself, but for my future pack.

I’d spent far too much time around pretentious assholes who wanted to wave their money and status around like it was some kind of character trait. It might find them an omega or two, but it wasn’t going to find the kind of omega that I wanted.

Omegas like Roxie and Rylan didn’t give a fuck about how much money was in my account. They cared more about who I was as a person.

“Alright, what’s your budget? I’d offer to pay but I know you wouldn’t let me.”

“You’d be right,” he scoffed. “I just need a few outfits for the resort. I won’t be in the pool the entire time.”

I nodded before glancing around, trying to decide where to start.

“Are you boys behaving yourselves?”
