Chapter Seven
The twins peeked throughthe fence, their wolves already clawing inside, moved by their desire to mark their mate.
“Shit.Come back here!”hissed Tanya.
They were about to jump the fence when a powerful voice thundered, “Stand down, both of you!”
Their uncle, Alpha Connor, was at the door. His Alpha aura subdued them, forcing them to obey.
Behind him, both Faolan and Elyse, his mate and Luna, seemed startled.
“Enter.Now!”
“It’s our mate!”growled Declan, and by the tone of his voice, his wolf was near the surface.
“And if you don’t want to lose her, you’ll do what your uncle tells you to,” whispered Evelyn, her eyes on the sleeping girl. She looked helplessly at her son.“The High King needs to be warned.”
“What were the odds?”asked Connor, more to himself than to the others. They sat at the kitchen table, their dinner all but forgotten, the twins flanked by their uncle and cousins.
“The High King must be warned.”
“Will you reject her?”asked Tanya.
“No!” they both shouted, startling everyone.“She’s ours.”
“This is unbelievable ...the girl came here to heal, and ended up with you two...The Moon Goddess must be having a blast with this.”
Not even the High King would interfere in a second chance mate, rare as they were.
“What the hell are we supposed to do now?Our better half is on the other side of that fence!”
“I don’t even want to know how in hell that arrangement is going to work,” muttered Tanya.
“Ugh, gross...”Tara whispered.
“But you must consider what she went through. The human above everything else. The question now is, what are you going to do?”
