“Know what….” I say slowly.

Silva snorts, “Babe, I’m not stupid. I know what you do in your free time.” She raises a brow.

“Do you?” I ask. I know the girls wouldn’t judge me for killing people, they’ve done it themselves when we took down Gideon. I just don’t know if that's something they’ve done in their personaltime like me or not. We’re close, but as time’s gone by and everyone started packing up, we’ve been busy.

“Just remember, honesty is key. If they care about you, they will understand.”

I snort out a laugh. “I don’t know if that's something people can just understand.”

She shrugs, “Look at mine and Lexi’s packs, and the rest of the girls. They know what we’ve been through, and that this life is fucked up. They just might surprise you.”

Leaving Silva, I agree to that week off work. And I’m pretty excited. To sleep in would be nice. I might just go over to Willow and Jude’s place and take one of those grade A naps.

That alone should tell me just how perfect they are for me.

After texting everyone goodnight, I crash.

The next morning I’m on my way to grab a coffee when I notice something that has my hackles rising.

The two guys from the club the night before last are here. They're standing next to a truck in the parking lot of the restaurant across the street, arguing.

“Not in my fucking town,” I hiss, pulling my phone free.

I pull up my camera and snap a photo, sending it to the town sheriff, Syrus.

Me

These men are trash and are not welcome in Widows Peak.

I send the message with the photo attached. A moment later, I get a response.

Syrus

Got it. I’ll deal with it. Don’t worry.

Me

Thanks.

Giving them one last look of disgust, I take my coffee and decide to go visit Lexi, and see how the new mama is doing.

“You have got to be fucking kidding me!” I hiss, watching the same fucking truck I saw the assholes driving the other day drive by my house.

I know for a fact that Syrus escorted them out of town and told them not to come back. So why the fuck are they here?

Starting the bike up, I peel out of my driveway.

I was already on my way to see Atlas, but I think I’m going to take a little detour.

Keeping my distance, I follow them back into Ridley’s Hawk. They pull into one of the motels along the highway.

They get out of the truck, angrily shouting at each other.

“If you don’t watch yourself, you’re going to get us in trouble,” the brunette hisses.

“Me?” he scoffs. “You’re the one who can’t keep his hands to himself. Wait until we bring her to the hotel room next time. That way if she screams we can cover her mouth.”

I’m sorry, what the fuck!
