“Maybe,” I tease.
She knows I’m joking.
Well, I hope so. Although part of me isn't, because I think anyone would think about their girlfriend naked constantly.
Suddenly, she slides her hand down and cups me through my jeans.
I choke out a breath, my body tightening instantly.
Jesus fucking Christ.
This is the least suitable place to start something like this, considering the sand might end up in places it shouldn’t and how cold it is.
I’d rather not get frostbite down there.
There's no way I am driving back to the lodge again while she tortures me in the passenger seat.
“I need you.” She nips at my chin. “Sir.”
Yeah.
That's it. I’m done for.
I nod once, already claiming her mouth. The kiss hits hard, hungry and desperate. I grip the back of her neck as my tongue licks along her lips, asking for more. Taking more.
I’d planned to take it slow tonight.
Ease her into it.
Now that's going to be impossible because she's now completely and irrevocably mine.
She loves me.
I have the whole weekend to do everything I have planned for her birthday.
Tonight, though, I’m just a man completely gone for his woman, and the thought of all the things I’m going to do to her body spears through me. I feel like a teenage boy who's just seen his first set of tits.
I can’t fucking wait.
Chapter 44
Elijah
“Do you have a thing for mirrors?” She asks, turning slowly as she takes in the room.
The way her eyes move over everything tells me she likes it before she even says a word.
From where I’m standing, the entire wall behind her is nothing but floor-to-ceiling windows. The seat stretches out beyond the cliffs like someone spilt ink across the horizon, dark and endless. Heavy chocolate-brown curtains, similar to the walls, frame the glass, pulled back just enough to let the moonlight flood the room.
To my right—exactly where she's looking—is the bed.
King-sized. Massive. The kind of bed that looks less like furniture and more like a dangerous invitation. Thick white sheets spill over the sides, buried under an absurd number of pillows that nobody realistically needs but everyone secretly wants. Four rustic wooden posts frame each corner, which I’m assuming are just there for decoration.
Should have brought some rope.
Next time.
Behind the bed are mirrors.
