“And we need a safe word.”

“What for?”

“For when you reach your limit. Or I reach mine.”

She made a little disparaging sound. “I thought you were limitless.”

“I just might be, with you. We still need a safe word.”

“Fine.Thrust.”

He chuckled. “The forward force acting upon an aircraft?”

“That, too.”

“I like it.”

“Of course you do.”

“Good.Thrustit is, then.” He forced himself to let go of her breasts, then retrieved the strip of black silk from his pocket, dangling it in front of her face. “Now, what shall we do with this?”

She turned to regard him with trepidation. “I have no idea.”

He let it unfurl, dragging it along her neck before draping it across her face, covering her eyes.

“It can be a blindfold …” He fisted the ends behind her head. She swayed a little and gripped his forearm, nails sinking in, making him strain even more against the zipper of his pants at the sight of Jannie blindfolded, her chin up, her bare breasts rising and falling, a flush spreading up her chest toward her neck.

“If you can’t see, your other senses will have to compensate …” He leaned in and flicked her earlobe again with his tongue, eliciting a hard shudder. “And there’s the added element of anticipation and surprise.”

He took her hand, sucking her index finger into his mouth.

She gasped with a harsh inhale.

He ran his tongue along the pad, fluttering, before nipping gently, relishing her nearly inaudible moan.

He wanted to throw her onto the bed, tear off her dress, and torment her with his hands and lips and tongue until she begged for him to—

She made a noise then, one he recognized as a sign of discomfort.

Immediately, he pulled off the blindfold, watching her exhale as her shoulders sagged.

Jannie didn’t like being deprived of sight. Noted and eliminated, albeit with disappointment.

He took her lips in a tender, thorough kiss until he was certain she had recovered from the blindfold. Only then did he drape it around her neck, crossing the ends at her nape to fashion a collar.

“It could be”—he moved behind her, twisting the ends to tighten it just enough— “a beautiful silk choker.”

He wrapped his free hand around her throat, his fingers splaying to also grip her chin as he squeezed with gentle pressure. “But I prefer to use my hand for that.” He rubbed her pulse point with his ring finger. “I can feel your pulse that way.”

She leaned back into him with a barely audible whimper.

An electric jolt arrowed straight to his groin. “Does my hand around your pretty neck turn you on?”

He knew it did but wanted to hear it.

She nodded.

“Use your words.” God, he could smell her arousal.
