lord was up on their feet within seconds as Percy rushed to my side in a panic.

“Majesty?! What’s the matter?” he shouted.

I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t feel anything as a cold sweat ran down my neck. Flashes of a long-forgotten memory flooded

my mind. Wildflowers, clouds, and Ornella. As if we were sitting in that Goddess forsaken field she would beg me to take her

Where I discovered I was in love with her.

I tried to catch my breath again, calling my shadows to protect me. To wrap around me and calm my body as it felt as if I

For now, April could deal with it. I needed to sleep.

“Where were you?” she asked as she leaned against the door frame of my room.

“Out.”

“My apologies, April. I didn’t know you were the oldest and I had to report my every move to you.”

She huffed as she stepped further in and started playing with some bits of parchment and a quill on my writing desk.

One thing I hated about having three sisters was the fact Mother and Father didn’t wait around to have us all. All

within one year of each other. Once April was born, I lost all the attention and then it only got worse when Vanessa and
