She brushed her lips over his. “I want them just like you did it the last time.”

“Whatever you want. Always.”

Paige ran her fingers through his hair, peering into his eyes. “I love you.”

“I love you, too.” He shifted her in his arms, pressing his erection into her. “Now, where are we going?”

The love she felt for him was so big, so consuming, she thought she’d burst open from it. She ran a finger down his cheek. “I told you. Anywhere. As long as I’m with you.”

Epilogue

Two years later

“She’s so beautiful.” Paige’s eyes filled with tears as she stared down at her little doll.Khristina Denise Weathers.

Andrew pressed a kiss to their daughter’s brow. “She is.”

After the longest pregnancy ever, thirty-two hours of labor, an epidural that didn’t work, and lots of prayers, Paige had finally given birth to their little miracle. Given her age, it wasn’t easy carrying a baby—so many tests, constant monitoring, and the awful pregnancy pics posted on the media outlets. But they’d made it through to the end. “I can’t believe she’s here,” she said. “I love her so much already.”

He kissed Paige’s brow. “I can’t wait to teach her everything I know—how to change a tire, when to stop a negotiation, and where to buy the best hamburgers—”

“How to roast a marshmallow,” she finished with a wink.

Rubbing his finger over her cheek, he said, “Thank you for giving me this gift, Mrs. Weathers.”

“Ms. Mills,” she corrected. Peering down at her wedding ring, she said, “In public anyway. In private, I’ll be Mrs. Weathers.”

Andrew laughed. “Whatever.”

With their busy work schedules, they’d decided to table the marriage conversation, choosing instead to focus on loving each other and enjoying their time together. But a positive pregnancy test had changed everything. During a trip to the lake house—which they’d purchased from her uncle—he’d proposed to her on the patio, during a glorious thunderstorm.

They’d married at dusk, on a beach in Bali, surrounded by their closest friends and family—and the little bun baking in her oven. And Paige couldn’t be happier with her life, with her man, and with her beautiful daughter.

Andrew took the baby from her, cradling her in his arms and staring down at her lovingly. “She looks like you,” he said, running his thumb over the baby’s plump cheek. “All these dark curls, gorgeous eyes.”

“She has your nose,” Paige said.

He frowned, peering at their baby. “She does.” He smiled. “Isn’t that something?”

The door swung open and Connie and Tina walked into the room.

Connie stopped, bringing her hand up to her mouth. “Oh, I finally have a grandbaby. She’s so pretty.”

“Let me see that baby,” Tina said, pulling her sunglasses off. They both looked at the baby in Andrew’s arms. “No, she’s gorgeous, Connie. Pretty doesn’t do her justice.”

Paige shook her head. Some things never changed, and her mother was one of those constants. “Mom, why do you have on that hat?”

“Girl, I couldn’t be recognized coming in here. I’m on a break.”

Andrew handed the baby to his mother and sat down on Paige’s hospital bed as the two women gushed over their granddaughter.

Connie swayed with the baby. “Aw, I’m your granny, beautiful.”

Tina scoffed. “Granny? That’s so old, Connie. She will not be calling me Granny. GG is just fine. Or, better yet, Glam-Ma.”

Connie shook her head. “You’re a mess.”

“I can’t wait to teach her how to do her hair and makeup,” Tina said.
