“Because you’re you.” She jabbed her finger into my chest. “And I’m me.” She searched my eyes. “We’ve been family forever, living in the same house, sleeping in the same bed sometimes, helping each other through some crazy bullshit. And nothing. Now, you’re flirting with me, you’re explaining yourself to me, you’re touching me, you’re sneaking into my dreams with that smirk on your lips, you’re looking like you want to kiss me. Again.”

“I do.” I squeezed her hips and pulled her closer. This time, my dick didn’t betray me, and I wanted her to know how she affected me. “Are you going to let me?”

Her gaze dropped to my mouth and she nodded. “Yes,” she whispered hoarsely.

And I did, trailing my tongue over her bottom lip before sucking it into my mouth. Demi melted into me as I tilted her head back and deepened the kiss. The feel of her body against mine, the sound of her soft moans, and her scent were driving me crazy with need. It was no secret that I’d fucked coast to coast and abroad, but the mere act of kissing her, of holding her in my arms felt like the first time. Which was scaryandright at the same time. I wanted to devour her, claim her as mine, climb inside her and never come back out.

My alarm went off and Demi jumped back like I’d burned her, nearly falling on her ass. Fortunately, I was able to catch her. “You should be more careful,” I said, kissing her brow, then her full lips again.

With dazed eyes, she peered up at me. “Not again. Ugh!” She held her palm against her mouth. “What am I thinking?”

I hit the button on my phone, silencing it. “The same thing I’m thinking?”Us. Her pussy. My dick.

Demi shook her head frantically. “No. Obviously, I’m not thinking with my brain.” Her gaze softened on me, right before she stood on the tips of her toes and kissed me again. Tangling my fingers in her hair, I let her take control of the kiss.

I backed her against the dresser, slid my hands up her thighs to the waistband of her jeans and unbuttoned them, and slipped my hand into her panties. “Just like I thought,” I murmured against her mouth. “So hot, so wet for me.”

She gasped when I flicked her clit with my finger, rolling it between my fingers. “I’m probably going to hell,” she breathed. “Don’t stop, though.”

I wanted to drop to my knees and press my face to her pussy just to get a taste. So, hell nah. Stopping wasn’t an option. “Don’t worry. I won’t,” I assured her as I dipped one finger inside. Then, two.

Demi’s mouth fell open. “Oh shit.”

“Take your shirt off,” I commanded.

“Now?” she asked, her eyes glazed over, dark with desire.

I bit down on her shoulder. “I didn’t stutter.”

That muthafuckin’ alarm went off again and Demi snatched my hand out of her pants. She gasped. “Oh my God.” She frantically buttoned her jeans and straightened her twisted shirt. “See. I did it again. It’s so wrong. I need to go.”

“Wait.”

She rushed to the door, but I was too late to stop her from opening it. Within seconds, Blake, Bliss, and Dallas tumbled inside.

Demi stared down at them, then back at me. “Unbelievable.” Then, she bolted.

And I glared at my sisters, who scrambled to get up. “Really?” I asked once they were all on their feet.

“Dallas held her head high. “Really. But you—”

Instead of allowing my sisters to grill me about what had just happened, I just closed the door.

GOING OUT OF MY HEAD

Demi ignored me when I entered the kitchen. She continued to avoid eye contact as I prepared the food. Unfortunately, I wasn’t as lucky with my sisters, who’d taken turns trying to get information out of me. While I scrambled the eggs, Dallas pretended to help. Pretend, because she hadn’t even picked up a spatula. Bliss, on the other hand, grabbed the butter from the fridge and brought it to me. As I beat the pancake batter, she beat around the bush, asking every question except for the one that mattered.

When Blake approached me with the champagne, she popped the cork and turned to me. Lowering her voice, she said, “Are you fucking Chastity or Demi?”

Asa choked on his orange juice as he passed by. He glanced at me, then at Demi, before shaking his head and mumbling, “It’s too early for this shit.” He grabbed a piece of bacon and disappeared around the corner.

I glared at Blake. “Shut. Up,” I grumbled, through clenched teeth.

My sister shrugged. “If I was a betting woman, I’d say Demi. Especially after she walked out of your room with her hair looking a hot-ass mess.”
