“Look at you.” Bliss grinned. “Lookin’ all flushed. Cheeks rosy.”

I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath. “Fuck all y’all.”

“Ah, shit.” Blake cracked up. “You finally embraced your inner Young.”

I laughed. “I hate you.”

Dallas waggled her eyebrows. “I knowsomeoneyou don’t hate.”

Tristan entered the room, taking a seat next to Asa. We hadn’t all sat around the table in quite some time, and despite what had transpired earlier, it felt good.

“This is interesting,” Blake mumbled.

Bliss cleared her throat. “Hi, brother. Long time…”

Tristan smiled. “Hey, baby sis.”

My phone buzzed and I glanced at the screen just as Dex and Charlye walked into the kitchen.

Blake:Don’t let the fun killer ruin your fun, Sis.

Dallas:If you need to get your fuck on, I’ll cover for you.

I looked across the table, meeting their amused gazes. Rolling my eyes at them both, I typed:Tristan is not killing my fun. I took care of that earlier.

Bliss:Damn. I missed it?

Blake:Mmm Hmm. Asa told me.

Dallas:Sissy, you were preoccupied with Naija. I’ll tell you the story later.

I poured a glass of water and responded:Asa doesn’t know shit.

Dallas:Asaheardshit. All night, Sis? Damn.

I choked, spewing water on the table. I glared at Asa. “I’m gonna fuck you up.”

“What?” Asa held his hands up. “What did I do?”

“You talk too much,” I told him.

Blake sighed, a pleased smile on her face. “Yep. You might as well change your name now. Demi Young. Sounds good to me.”

Dexter frowned. “What’s going on?”

“Right?” Charlye said. “I feel like we missed something important.”

Lennox cleared his throat. “You don’t want to know.”

“Seriously,” Preston agreed.

“Nothing,” I said, eyeing Duke. “They’re just being silly.”

Duke announced the food was ready. “I’m not serving y’all asses either.”

Once everyone piled their plates high, we sat down and ate. Duke took the chair next to me and squeezed my knee. I bumped his shoulder. “Looks good.”

He raised a questioning brow. “Good?”
