My smirk turns wicked. “Oh, now Ihaveto find the brightest, most obnoxious Hawaiian shirt just because you said that.”

He grumbles something incoherent. “I shouldn’t have given you ammunition, huh?”

“Nope,” I grin wider and lean in until my breath fans his neck. He goes completely still. “I’m already forming a vision. It’s going to be… spectacular.”

“I don’t think I own anything that’s not dark or white.” He admits, chewing the corner of his lip.

My eyes drop to his mouth instantly. Heat crawls up my back and wraps around my neck.Fuck. I shouldn’t be thinking about biting that lip myself. I shouldn’t be imagining closing the last inch between us…

But I am.

Vacation chemistry is temporary, I know that. I’m not built to stay in one place for someone who might actually want to keep up with my chaos. Yet sitting here with Milo next to me, this ridiculous wedding-week bingo game feels a lot more interesting than it should.

Four days.

Forced proximity.

Three tasks a day.

Twelve ridiculous squares.

One partner I can’t outrun.

And damn, he’s already making it hard to stay focused.

My stomach flips like a roller coaster loop.

Yeah… this is dangerous.

And I’m not entirely sure I mind it at all.

Chapter Ten

Milo

Not long afterEthan and Aria release everyone to begin “wedding week bingo,” Sienna and I leave the pavilion side by side, our shoulders brushing every other step.

The path to the gift shop winds through clusters of palm trees and vibrant hibiscus hedges, their red and pink blooms exploding. Sienna walks with her effortless, confident stride, her blue sundress catching the breeze and fluttering against her thighs. I keep my eyes mostly on the path.

Mostlybeing the operative word.

She catches me staring a second too long. “You’re awfully quiet. Plotting how to murder me on the final night so you can claim the catamaran sail for yourself?”

I shrug, hands shoved deep in my pockets. “Just wondering how long it’ll take Ethan and Aria to regret pairing us.”

“They’re probably already regretting it,” she snorts. “But if you’re secretly hoping I’ll regret being stuck with you… you’re out of luck. You’re way too stiff and controlled right now, but I’m betting I can fix that.”

I almost smile. “Are you always this optimistic before noon?”

“Only when someone makes me breakfast and then personally escorts me to get matching temporary tattoos,” shereplies, head tilted. Her eyes gleam with mischief. “It’s giving domestic.”

My pulse kicks hard. “Domestic?”

“You made me breakfast. That’s domestic as hell.”

“I madeusbreakfast.”

“Semantics,” she shrugs, deliberately bumping my shoulder and lingering against me for a beat. “Admit it. You like taking care of me.”
