Encouraged by my response, he grew bolder, his hands and mouth exploring every inch of me with dedicated attention. My shorts joined the growing pile of discarded clothing, followed by his, until there was nothing between us but skin and desire.

I reached for him, needing to touch, to explore in turn. His body was a marvel of controlled power, hard muscle and heated skin. When my fingers wrapped around his length, he groaned, the sound more wolf than man.

"Winter," his voice strained. "Careful."

"I don't want to be careful," I stroke slowly. "I want you, Rook. All of you."

His control snapped. With a growl that sent heat pooling between my thighs, he captured my wrists, pinning them gently but firmly above my head. His body covered mine, his weight supported on his forearms as he positioned himself between my legs.

"Tell me you're sure," his eyes burning into mine.

"I'm sure," I wrapped my legs around his waist, pulling him closer. "Please, Rook."

He entered me in one powerful thrust, filling me completely. I gasped at the sensation, my body stretching to accommodate him. He stilled, giving me time to adjust, his muscles trembling with the effort of restraint.

"Okay?" His voice rough with concern.

"More than okay," I rolled my hips, urging him to move. "Don't hold back. I won't break."

Something wild flashed in his eyes. "You don't know what you're asking for."

"Then show me."

With a growl that seemed torn from the depths of his being, he began to move. His thrusts were powerful, almost primal, each one driving me higher. He released my wrists to grip my hips, angling me to take him deeper.

My hands found his shoulders, nails digging into his skin as pleasure built within me. The blue markings on my skin brightened with each thrust, responding to the intensity of emotion flowing through me.

"Rook," I gasped as he hit a spot that sent sparks shooting up my spine. "There, right there."

He obeyed, focusing his attention on that spot until I was writhing beneath him, teetering on the edge of release. One ofhis hands slid between us, finding my clit and circling it with maddening precision.

"Let go," his eyes locked on mine. "I want to see you come apart."

His words, combined with the relentless rhythm of his body and the skilled touch of his fingers, sent me hurtling over the edge. I cried out his name as pleasure crashed through me in waves, my body clenching around him.

He growled in satisfaction, his pace increasing as he chased his own release. The sight of him above me, powerful and untamed, was enough to send aftershocks of pleasure rippling through me.

"Winter," he groaned, his rhythm faltering as he approached his peak. "I can't..."

"Don't stop," I wrapped my legs tighter around him. "I want to feel you."

With a final, powerful thrust, he found his release, my name a rough prayer on his lips as he shuddered above me. The intensity of the moment, the connection between us, felt like more than physical pleasure, it was a joining of something deeper.

As we lay tangled together afterward, his weight a comforting pressure above me, I felt the last of his restraint melt away. His face buried in my neck, his breathing gradually slowing, he seemed finally at peace.

When he eventually rolled to his side, he took me with him, keeping me close against his chest. His heartbeat was strong and steady under my ear, his arms a secure cage around me.

"That was..." I began, not quite finding words adequate to describe what had just happened between us.

"Yeah," he pressed a kiss to the top of my head. "It was."

We lay in comfortable silence for a while, his fingers tracing lazy patterns along my spine, following the blue markings that had now dimmed to their usual gentle glow.

"The markings," he observed. "They responded to us."

"They do that sometimes," I thought of the similar experiences with Zane and Milo. "It's like they're connected to my emotions."

He was quiet for a moment, processing this. "And with the others? Is it the same?"
