“My girl likes to fuck,” he chided and slapped my ass.

The way he claimed me so entirely, had me near the edge again. Sweat was dripping down us. My pussy squeezed him like a vice with my second orgasm.

“Fuck, April, you are so fucking perfect!” he yelled as he came.

“Incredible,” he stated, breathlessly.

It was true. This man had ruined me.

“You don’t have to say nice things. You already got it,” I said, sitting up to get out of bed.

He grabbed my wrist and forced me to look at him. “I’m not saying it to be nice. I’m saying it because it’s true.”

I watched the bob in his neck as he swallowed hard. Like he was making a point. He tucked a stray strand of hair behind my ear.

“You’re pretty good, too.”

His eyebrow arched. “Pretty good?”

I see-sawed my hand.

“If that’s how you feel. Then I better go another round until you change your mind.”

“Another round? Easy, tiger, you’re not in your twenties anymore,” I chided.

He scoffed, “But I still fuck like I am.”

“Uh...” I stuttered, teasingly.

His face twisted. “That’s it.” He tackled me down on the mattress. “As long as this goes.” He pointed back and forth between us. “We go.”

“You can’t be serious.”

“As much as a torn Achilles.”

I gasped and covered his mouth with my hand. “Don’t even jinx us like that.”

A deep rumble of a laugh popped out of him.

Panting and spent, Josh and I laid on the bed, naked, in our post-sex haze. He wasn’t kidding when he said, “we go.” I don’t think I’ve ever pulled an all-nighter for sex, but after the fourth go, I had to call a nap break. We had to work in the morning. The team was running on the high of our last win and I was running on a high that things were going well with Josh. Too well.

When we joined Jake and Millie, and their friends last week, no one even batted an eye. We all got along, spending time bragging and bitching about the guys like normal couples do. While the guys watched us from the corner, pretending to play pool.

We ended up in the west-end of the city, at the bar that Lisa owned. Even though she renovated most of it, she’d kept all the quintessential memorabilia, classic billiard tables, and dart boards. Apparently, there was still a dart league on Tuesday nights, who knew? But I digress. The night went, opened us up to being an item. The plan was officially working, according to Josh. Part of me cringed a bit when he said it in our Uber home, but he was giddy, clinging to it, and I didn’t want to ruin the mood. It was what we agreed to after all.

While we were at work, we kept things mostly professional. Can’t say I didn’t sneak a kiss or three in the equipment room two days ago after his warm-up, but since then, we have both had conflicting schedules, and our arrival timesin Philly differed. I wasn’t slated to arrive until late this afternoon and he’d already be at the stadium for practice. The only chance I’d get to see him would be tonight. And somehow, it was still too far away.

CHAPTER 31

JOSH

April emerged from the side of the building, she had tucked her hair up into a loose bun and had her headphones on. Her oversized duffel was slung across her body. I was lost in her, already aching to have her alone. This wasn’t helping me calm the raging hormones already sending blood to my cock.

We passed by a tattoo shop, April stopped and stared in the window as a woman in her twenties, with a group of girls, flinched when the tattoo artist started on a sensitive spot on the backside of her upper arm.

A friend supportively gripped her hand, while another hovered nearby.

“Anything interest you?” April jumped at the sound of my voice.
