Mini blushed more and put her face in her hands.
Meeda was going to warn that teasing Minutia would bring Ahheel running, but instead, she got a text message.“Is she okay?”
“Just embarrassed.Ever knows the family and made some observations about Exeter’s knowledge of dealing with omegas.”
A laughing emoji appeared.
Meeda looked at Mini.“Ahheel is good.She was just concerned.”
Mini relaxed.Normally, any uncomfortable emotion was met with her alpha charging up.
Vine grinned.“So, Mini, I have to ask, how is it having a male and female alpha?”
Mini blushed hard.“It varies, but they are always up for book research.”
They all laughed, and more food began to arrive.It felt like a party, and everyone around her made Meeda feel at home.Even Akervel.
Chapter Three
Meeda and Vine lookedat Moira.They bowed low and said as one, “Thank you for rescuing our kitten.”
Faline snorted as Moira blinked, and then her eyes went wide.“Vine and Meeda?Wait, Mia’s Meeda?”
They straightened and grinned.Meeda smiled.“Yes.I am ready to be seen.I hear you have a set of dark elves?”
Moira blushed.“Yeah.One is opening a boat repair shop with one of the Darings, and one is a financial director who is opening a local branch.”
Vine grinned.“And you have an actual kitten?”
The adorable little calico was sitting on Faline’s shoulder.
Moira grinned.“Any time Faline isn’t in the room, yes.Her nickname is Kram, it’s short for crampon.”
As they watched, the kitten climbed to the top of Faline’s head and stood proudly.
Faline sighed.“And now, she’s a hat.”
