"Aye. I didn't want to hurt you." He withdrewand the wondrous aching sensation made her clench her teeth.
"Monsieur," she gasped.
"Dugald," he prompted in a husky murmur.
She repeated his name as he slowly drove intoher again. With the next thrust, she cried out, the pleasure nearconsuming her. Sweet Mother Mary, she could not think. He was soforceful and commanding, increasing his pace until he was takingher fast and hard, just as she wanted. Her first lover had been agreen lad compared to Dugald.
"Never stop." Her arms around his neck, sheclung to his hair as he ate at her mouth and claimed her body.
"Camille." The way he growled her name sentrenewed chills racing over her body.
"Oui."
"You turn me into a lunatic."
Intense pleasure bloomed from her center, expanding ever outward until it swallowed her up. Feeling as if shewere tumbling through the sky, she screamed.
Driving deep within her, his body quaking, hegrowled against her ear.
When she came back to herself, she heard himdrawing in great gulps of air, as she did. Heavens! She had neverfelt such breath-stealing passion. Rolling to the mattress besideher and laying his head on the pillow, he watched her, thewickedness still lingering in his faint grin.
Although she had thought him attractive fromthe first moment she saw him, his smile made him a hundred timesmore gorgeous. She never wanted to look away. The mischievous devilhad bewitched her.
In that moment, she realized she had gottenexactly what she'd wished for—a hot-blooded Scotsman for anadventure in the bedchamber. Whew, did she ever! He was so muchmore sensual and passionate than she'd fantasized. With him, shecraved something far beyond a briefaventure amoureuse. Butwould he want that too?
The excitement and uncertainty made her wishshe could read his mind, or at least his expression. But she hadnot known him long enough. So much had happened in a short span oftime—a mad dash through the Highlands and the best liaison of herlife.
His mysterious gaze continued to searchhers.
"What are you thinking, Dugald?"
"You don't truly want to know," he said, hisdeep voice rough.
"I do indeed."
He lifted a brow, his gaze turningdiabolical. "I think I will keep you as my hostage for a whilelonger."
Although his wording might frighten somewomen, a thrill shot through her. "You wish me to stay?"
"Aye." He grinned. "This has only whetted myappetite."
Hers too. She feared she was addicted to therogue after only one encounter. "How long?"
"I know not. You enjoyed that, aye?"
"Of course, but…" Although she wanted to beselfish and indulge a while longer, she had responsibilities.
"What?" he asked.
"My cousin will worry when my driver and themaids report that I have gone missing."
He frowned, his eyes taking on a troubledexpression. "Aye." He rolled from the bed and began dressing.
Disappointment enveloped her, for theirmagical rendezvous was over, the most exciting she'd everexperienced.
Once he was dressed, he observed her with adark and gloomy expression.
She sat up, holding the covers to her chest."What is wrong?"
