Grinning mischievously, Torr pulled her up, lifted her into his arms, and hastened up the spiral stone stairwell amid yells and complaints from the clan.
She giggled. "What are you doing?"
"Claiming private time with my new bride." He hurried into the chamber he always used while visiting Farspag and barred the door.
A moment later, fists pounded on the door amid laughs and bawdy comments.
"Off with you then!" Torr yelled.
"They should have nay doubt that we will consummate our union. Again," she whispered.
Torr smirked. "I'm glad you remember."
"How could I forget?"
Ignoring the commotion outside the door, he moved toward her. "This night, I'll give you an even better memory."
