“Come for us,” Dante says from behind me, his voice raw and scraped bare.

I come apart.

The orgasm starts at my center and rips outward in waves that clench and release and clench again. My body grips around both of them at once, the contractions so intense that both men groan, Dante guttural, Cole desperate. I arch between them, suspended, held upright only because four arms keep me from collapsing.

Dante’s rhythm breaks, his thrusts going erratic, his breathing shattered. Cole’s arms crush me against his chest, his hips driving up with desperate urgency.

“I can’t—” Dante sounds wrecked. “I can’t hold, Maya, Cole—”

“Don’t hold,” I say, still shaking, still clenching around them. “Let go. Both of you. I want to feel it.”

Dante comes first. A sound tears from him, low and broken, my name and Cole’s name tangled in a single shattered breath. I feel him pulse inside me, the throb of his cock through the condom, his body shuddering as his forehead drops to my shoulder. His breath breaks against my skin in ragged bursts.

Cole follows seconds later. His hands grip my hips. His body goes rigid beneath me, every muscle taut, his cock throbbing inside me, and his teeth sink into the hollow of my throat. The bite presses into my skin, his sound bitten off and buried in my body. His hips drive up one final time and hold, the release shuddering through him.

The three of us stay there, breathing, trembling, still connected. I still feel full. They are both still inside me, softening, the intensity fading but the closeness remaining. I am suspended between their bodies.

Dante withdraws first. Gently. The loss of him leaves an ache. Cole follows, and the emptiness after the fullness is so acute that a sound leaves my mouth before I can stop it. A whimper. The involuntary protest of my body clenching around nothing.

“I’m here,” Cole says, his arms still around me. “Not going anywhere.”

“I’m here,” Dante says. His hand cups my face, and his thumb wipes something from under my eye.

A tear.

I am crying from something deeper than pain.

They rearrange us. Condoms gone, bodies shifting, Cole on his back, me against his chest, Dante behind me with his arm over both of us and his face in my hair.

The lamp stays on. Downstairs, the kitchen probably still smells like smoke and garlic. Somewhere under the refrigerator, a clove of garlic has made its permanent home.

Dante traces patterns on my arm. Slow. Absent. His body curls around mine, and mine curls around Cole’s, and the bed holds all three of us.

“The garlic under the refrigerator,” Dante says into my hair.

“What about it?”

“It’s going to bother me.”

“Let it bother you.”

“It’s going to bother me for the rest of my life.”

“Good. Then you’ll always have something to think about.”

Cole is already half asleep. His breathing has slowed to the deep, even rhythm that means his body has decided the day is over. His arm lies heavy across my waist, and his mouth is slightly open against my shoulder.

“I love you,” I say.

To both of them. To the room. To the bed that holds us, the kitchen that almost caught fire, the garlic under the refrigerator, the crack in the ceiling nobody fixes and nobody needs to.

Dante’s arm tightens around us. His mouth presses into my hair.

“I love you,” he says.

The pause almost disappears this time. With it goes the visible calculation. The words reach me with barely any effort to arrange them first.

Because I still hear it. The half-breath before the sentence. The old wiring firing behind his ribs, measuring the room, measuring me, measuring the safest way to make love sound clean. The filter misses the words this time, but the old training is still there.
