“I’m a much better screw than I am a cook,” she said with a hint of a smile.
He tunneled inside. “Baby, you feel phenomenal.”
So. Much. Pleasure. Everywhere.
And then, he started moving. Her moans were drowned out by his groans and grunts. He caressed her tits, rubbed her nipples, stroked her tummy.
“We shouldn’t kiss,” Carly rasped out.
“No, that would be wrong, very wrong.”
As soon as she craned her neck, his mouth found hers. The kiss turned savage. She bit his lip and he stroked her tongue, hard. He fondled her clit and waves of ecstasy exploded through her. Crying out, she came.
“Carly, babe, you’re making me come.” He poured himself into her, moaning through the euphoria.
Once she caught her breath, she murmured, “How did you know my name?”
He laughed. “No matter how many different ways we make love, you’ll always be my Carly.” He wrapped his arm around her and hugged her. Moments passed before he withdrew. As soon as he did, she rolled toward him. Cupping her chin in his hand, he kissed her.
Boneless, she lay on his chest and threw her leg over his. “Too heavy?”
“Carlyle, look at me.”
Lifting her face, she peered into his eyes. “You are not heavy. Do not ever ask me that again. You are perfect and perfect for me. You have a rockin’ hot body and I’m going to worship you all night long. Understood?”
“Yes, sir.” She shot him a playful smile. “I…I…I like you.”
He chuckled. “How many years did it take to figure that one out?”
“I liked you the first day I met you, but I wanted to let a couple of decades slide by…you know…just to make sure.”
He nudged her onto her back and planked over her. Peering into each other’s eyes, they shared a smile. “I like you, too.” He dropped a long, luxurious kiss on her lips. “With everything I am.”
THE MORNING SUN streamed through the window. Carly was alone, so she padded into her stateroom and threw on a sweatshirt and yoga pants, stopped in the bathroom to brush her teeth, and ventured out to find her man.
Ashton sipped coffee on the ship’s bow. Shirtless and in long shorts, he looked too sexy and adorably sleepy. “Good morning, my beautiful angel. Sleep okay?”
She bent over and kissed him. “What little sleep we got was perfect. You’re the best cuddler.”
“I don’t cuddle.” He pushed off the bow and ran the back of his finger down her cheek. “You bring that out in me.”
As they stared into each other’s eyes, romantic words played on the tip of her tongue. She wanted to tell him, but she couldn’t. Not yet.
The boat owners in the next slip started chatting with him, so after she said hello, she retreated inside and filled a mug with hot, steaming java.
Not long after, he eased down beside her on the kitchen bench and she topped off his coffee. “Internado’s headed to Richmond, like he told Greta.”
“How long have you been awake?” She rubbed her eyes, trying to push out the grogginess.
“An hour. I’ve got a surprised planned for today.”
“What about work?”
“It’s Saturday and everyone, even you, is entitled to a day off.” They sipped their coffee as a flock of geese flew south.
“Boat ride?” she asked.
“No. Dress in layers. We’ll be outside for part of the day.” He shot her a smile. “And that’s all I’m going to say.”
