Another growl rumbled from Rebel. “No.”

“What do you mean no?” drunk guy asked.

A large, muscular man bulled his way over. “Whatcha need, Rebel?”

“Get him out,” Rebel said.

As the line manager went to escort the clubber, the guy pulled a knife.

Brit flew off the stool, grabbed the guy’s wrist and twisted.

“AAAAIIIIIEEEEEEE!” The guy dropped the knife.

Rebel forced the guy onto the floor, on his ass.

“Calling the cops,” hollered his bartender.

Brit picked up the dude’s weapon.

“Everyone, clear away,” Rebel commanded.

Brit’s pulse had jumped. Not because she was afraid of the oversized douche, but because she and Rebel had moved into action so fast, it felt like they’d worked together a thousand times before.

That’s how in sync they were.

The line manager stood the customer up. Rebel patted him down. “Time out,” Rebel said.

The bouncer escorted him to a reserved table in the corner. Glaring and grumbling, the customer sat down while the bouncer stood guard over him.

“Hey, guys,” Rebel called out.

Everyone quieted, the bartender turned off the music.

“If someone says no, show some damn respect and move on.” The agitation in Rebel’s voice had streaks of desire thrumming through her.

“It’s a sex club, for fucks sake,” yelled the guy from his time-out spot.

“It’s about consent,” replied a woman. “Just because we’re here doesn’t mean we want to screw you, asshole!”

“No is no.” As Rebel’s gaze swept across the members, he shot everyone an easy-going smile. “Let’s show some respect.”

Then, he homed in on Brit. A shadow fell over his brow. Eyes of blue fire scorched her with an intensity that left her breathless… and he hadn’t even laid a finger on her.

Ohmygod.

Rebel was both commandingandcharismatic. He was in complete control, took zero crap from the clubber, and still managed to put out a calm vibe. Her insides were humming with energy… energy she couldn’t wait to unleash on him.

As he prowled over, the chemistry between them made her squirm with delight. Everything, everyone faded away. He was all she saw, all she needed.

“Hey.” He dipped down and whispered in her ear, “You look beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to make you unravel around me,Britain.”

Her knees trembled, but it was the possessive way he said her name. Like she was his. All his.

What is happening?

She’d dressed for him in a black leather bustier, matching hot pants, and thigh-high boots. Hair clipped up, tendrils framing her face.

He’d pulled his hair into a half bun, worn a dark flannel shirt and tattered jeans. As they peered into each other’s eyes, she inhaled his musky, manly scent.
