“It’s been so long, I’m like a virgin.”

He chuffed out a laugh. “I’ll go easy.”

“No, please don’t.”

A growl ripped from his throat. “I’m gonna devour you.”

“Yasssssss,” she murmured. “I can’t wait.”

At the top of the stairs, she opened the door. They sailed through and he continued down the hallway. One solid step at a time. His confidence billowed off him, the intensity in his eyes seared her.

“You sure you’re okay?” he asked as he set her down in front of suite 13. “You’re still shaking.”

“I need you, bad. You, Tank.”

He turned the handle, pushed open the door. She crossed the threshold, peered back at him, and waited while desire ran rampant through her.

He entered, shut the door, tipped her chin toward him. “I want you, Sydney. I meant it when I said I’d do anything. Anything to bring you pleasure.”

That’s all she needed to hear.

He dipped down, pressed his lips to hers. She dropped the whip, slipped her arms around him, and kissed him back. Sparks flew, desire shot through her like she’d been catapulted out of a cannon.

He swept his tongue into her mouth, stroking hers with an expected tenderness. He was in total control, his towering body a wall of solid steel she wanted to climb. But she didn’t want to rush this, so she relaxed into him, letting the kiss build and build and build.

Her insides throbbed, her breathing was jagged, her entire body trembled with desire. She’d never had itthisbad for anyone.

His gritty groan tore through her, landing between her legs. And that’s when everything turned wild. Gasping for air, she broke away. She tugged his dress shirt out of his pants, then got busy removing his armed holster.

“Whoa,” he said.

“Trust me. I got this.”

After setting the holster—with his Glock still in it— on the small table next to the lamp, her gaze floated over the sex toys hanging on the wall, over to the bed with the silky black sheets, before returning her full attention back on him.

“I gotta tell you something,” she murmured.

He waited, his gaze locked on her.

“I need you naked,” she said. “I’ve been fantasizing about you since we met at Caroline’s surprise party. Time to show mama the whole enchilada.”

“I’m packing a lot more than an enchilada for you.”

She laughed. “I’m sure you are.”

“If I’m being honest, thinking about you kept me going for months.”

She loved that and leaned up to kiss him. “I hope I don’t disappoint.”

“Never.”

She shouldered off his tailored jacket, then stood close and flicked off each shirt button revealing his body armor.

“So, youarewearing a costume. I just had to work to find it.” She shot him a smarmy smile.

A flicker of a smile touched his eyes.

So handsome.
