Eden shrugged, turning back to the subject of a Daddy. "I have been working on that. It's just taking longer than I thought. Stubborn men."

"Stubborn men," Romilly pointed out.

Eden looked down at his feet, then waved at his body before looking back up at Romilly. "Yes, men, because there’s so much of me to go around. Why have one when you can have more?"

"Is that not a bit greedy?" Romilly pointed out, teasing his younger brother.

All of Eden's life, he'd been told that he was greedy. He always wanted the most cookies or to have the best score on something. He could never be satisfied with the minimum. There had to be a next level. Had to be more. His hoard, his own personal hoard, was filled to the brim, and soon he would run out of room for his passions.

"If I'm greedy, then that's fine. I accept it about myself, and my Daddies will too."

"If you are sure," Romilly said, pausing to inquire one important fact. "This is not going to cause some type of international incident, will it? I do not want to have to be politically involved with who you bed. That could be a disaster.”

Eden shook his head. If Romilly didn't know his brother, he would have taken that as the final truth. But he could see the way he'd stopped moving the rest of his body. His normal constant sway and movement halted as he tried to make sure he wasn't visibly reacting to what Romilly said.

It seemed his brother was interested in someone who would be either an ally or a foe. Was it someone within the dragon Court? Hopefully not, considering how old and stuffy those people were. Could it be one of their children?

The royal family held the highest place in the horde, having the final say in all decisions with help from the Council. Right below the Council was the dragon Court, a select group of families who had been around long enough to be influential to their community. The eldest members of said families held seats in the Court, using their centuries of wisdom to teach and guide younger generations.

Romilly had to force himself to push the thoughts away. There was no time to analyze the entire horde for who his brother might be interested in. And honestly, it could be someone from another horde. Eden was social. Despite not leaving the castle often, he had friends all over who he had made through different meetings and parties the family had hosted. It was anyone's guess who Eden longed for. But Romilly knew that it would be an interesting turn of events when the time came.

"If you do not mind, I would like to spend more time with my mate alone. So can you—" Romilly made a motion as if to direct Eden to leave.

His brother huffed. "Fine. I'll leave you two alone and go bug Belinda. Maybe she'll make me some cookies. Bye, Archer. Have fun in your little heated blanket thing. Don't worry about telling everyone, I'll let them know that you're not to be disturbed."

Eden ran from the room, shutting the door behind him with a thud.

Archer pulled his head out from the blanket, blinking and looking at Romilly with a scowl. "He's going to go tell everyone what we were in here doing?"

Romilly chuckled. "Little one, everyone probably already knows. I have a mental link to my family, and my dragon has probably boasted within it a few times already about how his mate is here and safe with him."

"Oh." Archer didn't seem relieved, but he also didn't appear upset.

"Do you want to get up and eat?" Romilly asked him. "We can have Belinda make something and someone bring it up, or we can go downstairs."

Archer shook his head. "I'm not all that hungry yet. I kind of want to just sit here with you a while longer. Is that okay?"

"That is perfectly fine, little one," he replied, hands rubbing against Archer's back. "And can you tell me more about your dragon? Like what he likes and doesn't like? I want to make sure I know all the things."

The animal inside him practically purred at his mate's words. The creature would be so spoiled when it came to Archer.

So deeply loved.

"Sure, little one," Romilly said. "I will tell you anything you want to know."

He pulled his boy to his chest and leaned back, preparing to share every piece of him the way Archer had done already. There would be no secrets, no lies. He had his mate and he was going to cherish him forever.

CHAPTER 17

Archer

True to his Daddy's word, Archer got an entire day with Romilly.

They laid in bed for most of the morning. The two cuddled up, tight as could be, enjoying life. As they discussed what Romilly's dragon was like, his mate had shared that the creature was fierce and protective, that it deeply adored Archer and their horde, and that it was the strongest Alpha in the known dragon world. He explained how there were different hordes scattered across the globe, but that the one here in San Noctis was the largest.

Archer had asked questions and listened closely. When he finally was too hungry to ignore it, Romilly asked Belinda to make them some food while they showered together and got dressed. Romilly had taken the time and effort to pick out what Archer would wear for the day. It was a comfy pair of sweats, and Archer loved how soft it was as Romilly slid the top over his head and told him to put his arms through the sleeves. It felt like he was walking around wrapped in a blanket.

They'd eaten together, and then Romilly had surprised him with some toys in his room. "I want you to have your own placeto play as well as the space with Eden. When my brother does eventually get his own Daddies,Fate help them all, I do not want you to have to be around other people you might not be comfortable with in order to play."
