Hecate may have been straddling Aeëtes, but he was working her like a toy. That mouth was alternating between her breasts, one hand around her waist, and the other slowly exploring her sex. His fingers ran through her wetness, and he made a guttural noise, pulling his mouth off of her only long enough to curse. His thumb found her clit and started making slow, intense circles, adding the right amount of pressure every time he would bite her playfully. It didn’t take long until she was putty in his hands, the water still lapping up around their legs, adding to the frenzy of the moment. Hecate knew that it would affect them if they drank it, but there was something a little terrifying and utterly debauched about fucking in the shallows of Lethe. And shelovedit.

“Please,” Hecate was panting, “Aeëtes, I need to feel you inside of me.” She clawed at his shoulders for purchase. He shook his head, a wicked grin coming over his face.

“No.” His tone was playful. “Not yet, little witch. You’ve put me through my paces to get here, haven’t you?” Hecate flushed even further, her cheeks turning pink, but she said nothing while she squirmed. “Haven’t you?” Aeëtes asked again, rubbing faster circles around her clit. Hecate bit her tongue, refusing to answer him, even though she felt her whole body aching to answer. Aeëtes only chuckled, a dark and wicked sound that added to her arousal. He kept his merciless pace and knew that she was close.

“Answer me when you come, Hecate,” he demanded, his tone leaving no room for argument. “Scream it out so the whole Underworld can hear you, and then I’ll fuck you.” Hecate made a sharp whimpering sound as she felt herself getting even closer to the edge. “But I’ll be nice and change the question.” He bit her breast again and made her body twitch. “Do you love me, Hecate?” He pressed against her clit and didn’t stop rubbing the same, wicked circles, never letting up the pressure until Hecate’s entire body spasmed, and he felt her release flood over his fingers.

Her back bent nearly in half as she screamed, nothing but white-hot pleasure turning her blood into fire. “Y-Yes!” she finally managed to gasp the word out as her thighs shook around Aeëtes for what felt like a blissful eternity. He stroked her gently as she came down, his expression full of a devilish and satisfied smirk. “Please,” Hecate gasped, her body shining with sweat, “Please, Aeëtes…”

He knew what she was asking for, and he couldn’t hold back a moment longer. Their clothes were bunched around their waists, and he ripped hers off, flipping Hecate on her back. She landed in the wet sand, the impact somehow only magnifying the intensity of her desire. In a second, Aeëtes was on top of her, completely blocking out her senses with nothing but sweat and arousal. She let out a wanton moan at the sensation, being utterly caged in between his arms and under his body. Aeëtes hand fumbled around his waist as he finally managed to tear the rest of his chiton off, grabbing a hold of Hecate’s leg and wrapping it around his waist.

She felt him at her entrance and opened her mouth to demand that he move. “Aeët—ahh!”

Hecate was cut off as he drove inside of her with one movement, and Aeëtes let out an animalistic moan at the feeling. She was gripping him like a vice, soft and hot, her previous release still coating her thighs. He felt the water licking at their feet and the entire picture was almost wrong; he felt mad but one look at Hecate’s blissed out face, and he realized that he didn’t care.

He pulled out, and Hecate made a whimper at the loss before Aeëtes shifted his hips and began fucking her into the ground. Hecate was overwhelmed as every thought was simply pushed from her head. All she could sense was the thick burn of Aeëtes, stretching her in such a delicious burn, she thought that she would never get enough of it. Her body was cushioned by the soft earth, naked against the sand—which she knew she would regret later—but in that moment, it all seemed to add to her stimulation, pushing her higher and higher.

She didn’t know how long they stayed like that, Aeëtes rolling his hips into her like he would never stop. She didn’t want him to. Suddenly, Aeëtes mouth was at her ear, coaxing her in a gentle tone that didn’t fit the merciless way he fucked her. The duality made her body shake.

“Come for me, Hecate,” he whispered, the words feeling like they were carved in her skin. “Come for me, nice and loud. I want the whole world to know how I make your body sing. How much I love you.” It sent Hecate over the edge, and her whole body shook in ways that she didn’t know it could. He talked her through her orgasm, which seemed never-ending, and he didn’t stop thrusting his hips. “So good, little witch. That’s it. You sound utterly debauched,” he bit her earlobe. “The dignified, stoic Hecate…” Aeëtes made a playful tsk sound. “Do you think everyone knows how pretty you scream for me now?”

She clenched around him, and it sent Aeëtes over the edge, spilling into her for what felt like an eternity. When his strength finally gave out, he landed on the sand next to Hecate. Both of them barely had the strength to open their eyes, panting against the sand. It was a few moments before Aeëtes managed to reach over and pull Hecate closer.

“Do you think we should get out of here and get dressed?” His voice was wrecked when he said it, barely above a whisper. Hecate managed a small laugh and shook her head.

“I don’t think anyone who heard that is going to come bother us now.”

That was enough of an answer for Aeëtes, so they slept. Curled up on the banks of the river of oblivion, letting it wash away their sweat and their fears as an act of defiance.

Aeëtes and Hecate eventually pulled themselves from the banks of Lethe, Hecate whisking them away to her Underworld home. She found herself nervous to show it to Aeëtes; she had never brought a lover there before, and she knew that once she had memories of him in this space, it would never entirely be just hers ever again.

When Aeëtes walked through the courtyard and into the kitchen, his face lit up so brightly that Hecate found the rest of her nerves falling away. He listened with rapt attention as she gave him a tour through the space, showing him the fireplace, rows and rows of jars stuffed with herbs, and even her dogs. At least, the two dogs in her home that weren’t made of magic. It had been a few weeks since she had been back, and there were a litany of unanswered prayers and requests scrawled all over the magical hearth. Aeëtes watched as she looked at it nervously, and he simply kissed her forehead and sat down at her kitchen table, content to watch her work.

Aeëtes watched in utter fascination as Hecate moved through her kitchen with grace, seeing what she looked like at work in the Underworld for the first time. Hecate, on the other hand, was alive with the knowledge that having Aeëtes in her home, having a partner in her life, didn’t get in her way. He added to it, with his warm presence and soft smiles in the corner.

A few hours later, they were nestled together in the kitchen, sharing a simple meal when the fire in Hecate’s hearth flared up. The light from the window flickered, as if it were alternating between light and day. Aeëtes looked at Hecate, his nerves amping up, but she only smiled.

“That’s Nyx, beloved,” she crooned, standing up to meet her friend. Aeëtes nearly tripped over himself to do the same, finding himself a little nervous to meet the primordial. Even on good terms. There was a rush of black smoke through the kitchen that left stardust on the walls in its wake, and then appearing out of it, was the goddess herself. Aeëtes’s eyes got wide as Hecate rushed over and hugged her friend tightly, the gesture seeming a little out of place for such an ancient being. Nyx stood a little taller than Hecate, with long, gleaming black hair the color of midnight. Her peplos was black, a strong contrast to Hecate’s typical shades of red, and she had piercing eyes that seemed to look right through him.

“Let me see him then,” Nyx announced, gently pushing Hecate to the side as she stalked towards Aeëtes. He swallowed thickly, bowing his head out of deference as he felt Nyx’s eyes roam over him in evaluation. She was silent for a second, the bottom half of her not having materialized into a mortal body, the smoke intertwining with Aeëtes’s legs. Nyx’s placed a pale finger under Aeëtes’s chin and made him look up at her, staring directly into his eyes. He couldn’t help it and gasped, seeing the multitudes of the nighttime skies in her eyes. It was glorious, but he found himself seeking out for the familiar cinnamon and rosemary scent of Hecate’s power. Nyx seemed to sense this, and she smiled.

“I like him.” She grinned, and Aeëtes nearly collapsed back onto the kitchen bench in relief. Nyx turned to Hecate, and her smile spread wider. “He certainly is a bit opposite of you, though.”

“It works,” Hecate blushed and began busying herself with something in the kitchen to keep her hands occupied. “Now, I’m sure you’re here to talk about Hera.”

“I can’t be here simply to pass judgement on the first man you’ve fucked more than once in a century?” The casual way that Nyx said it made Aeëtes want to laugh, but he stamped it down and turned his focus to Hecate’s dogs.

Hecate rolled her eyes. “You’ve done that now.” She stopped, biting her lip, showing a rare sign of nerves. “Have I caused you a lot of trouble?”

Neither Aeëtes nor Hecate had really spoken about the fact that she had killed Hera.

The queen of the gods.

She didn’t exactly fill out that title in the way that one would think, but she was still technically the queen. Nyx dropped down fully into a human form and sat down at the table, still facing Hecate.

“I’ve just come from Olympus.” Her tone was impossible to discern. “And it wasn’t the most pleasant of conversations.” She paused there, and Aeëtes felt like he was going to burst with anticipation.
