He went still.
I waited.
“Strange safe.”
“It also contains vehicle titles and a flare gun.”
“That helps.”
He sat opposite me.
“I meant what I said about wanting our first time without a barrier.”

“Are you comfortable with that?”

“You don’t need time to decide?”
“I made the decision once. I am willing to make it again.”
His fingers moved over the table.
“I want to ask things.”

I continued carefully.
