“Humor me, Sunshine.”
“Stop calling me that! I have a name.” I don’t want him calling me some pet name he’s probably used on a dozen other girls. I don’t know why it stings, but it really does.
“Then give it to me.” He steps closer into my space.
The tips of his shoes touch mine, making me crane my head back just to meet his eyes. The intense look in them gives me pause. “Why? Why should I give you my name?”
“I need to know what name to call out when I’m stroking my cock later on.”
“Excuse me?” There is no way he just said that to me.
“Name.”
“Dude. What the hell was all that?” Rhett interrupts and shoves Atlas. Him and Cora have finally made it backoutside.
“Hey. Stop. There’s been enough fighting. Are you okay, Kash?” Her concerned eyes land on Kash. I almost laugh. Somehow, I think Kash is fine.
“Don’t you worry about me. I’m better than okay. Been a while since I’ve been in a bar fight.”
“Mila! Let’s go!” Mara shouts from behind me. I was so engrossed in my conversation with Kash, I didn’t realize she was already walking toward the car, not waiting to see if we were following.
“Good night,Mila.” Kash’s voice cuts out low behind me, his hand snaking out to grab me. I can feel the heat of his touch through my shirt when he runs his finger down my arm. The way my name rolls off his tongue sends a shiver through my body. There’s no way he’s actually going to masturbate like he said, right?
Pulling my arm out of his grasp, I don’t bother with a reply. He’s going to forget all about me in the morning.
Jogging to catch up with Cora and Mara, I steal one final glance over my shoulder. Kash’s eyes are locked on me. The guys are heading toward where I’m assuming they’re parked, and he’s just standing there, watching. “Goodnight, Sunshine!” he calls out. “I’ll be thinking of you.”
Shaking my head, I climb into the back of Mara’s car. “What the fuck was all that?” Mara’s voice booms through the little sedan.
I’m not sure if her question is directed toward me or Cora, so I decide to stay quiet because, honestly, I don’t know what the fuck any of that was.
Chapter Seven
Kash
Watching Mila walk away, I catalog every movement she makes. The way her hair bounces across her shoulders, teasing the open cuts in the back of her shirt. I memorize how each step makes her ass bounce, sending another jolt of arousal through me. Don’t even get me started on the way she smells. Vanilla and brown sugar never made me hard before, but here we are.
Damn, I am a lucky man. I’ll definitely be calling out her name later.Mila.MyMila.
The drive back to the shop is awkward. Atlas seems pissed, Rhett is quiet, and Seth just seems annoyed, but me? I’m happy as a clam. I got to hang out with my girl, well a little bit, and had a bar fight. Didn’t really like that a guy was dancing with her, so even though I claim I was helping Atlas, which I was, I also couldn’t let it slide. No man touches what’s mine.
It doesn’t matter if Mila knows it, or if he knew, the fact remains the same:Mila is my girl.
Pulling into the shop, I turn and look at the guys, trying to keep the grin off my face. “Soooo... who had fun?”
I’m not put off by their groans and chorus of ‘shut ups.’ If anything, I was expecting it.
“I don’t think we’re ever getting invited back to girls’ night,” Rhett supplies dryly.
“Thank God,” Seth mutters, climbing out of the car.
Looking at Atlas, I see he’s still simmering in the front seat. “You need to lock this down with Cora.”
“Leave it be, Kash.”
“Atlas, man, you know I love you, brother, but seriously, this hotand cold is going to push her away. You can attract way more bees with honey than vinegar, you know?” I need him not to mess this up because then it’ll make it awkward when I go for Mila. She’ll put up a fight if Atlas makes her friend mad.
“It’s fine, Kash. I have it handled.”
