“I think we’ll be okay. I mean, it’s not like they don’t already know him a bit,” I point out. “He works with Cora and was at their wedding. We even saw them back at Christmas.”

“True, but you guys weren’t an item then. He wasn’t in your pants like he is now.” Joelle smirks.

She’s not wrong. Just thinking about the way he had me bent over the bed yesterday has me blushing. I was trying to fold laundry and instead of doing it in my room, I chose to do it in his. I haven’t even slept in my bed since the first time we slept together. Little by little, Kash has been moving my stuff in next tohis.

I wasn’t expecting him to be home for a while, so when he snuck in behind me, it scared me. He of course made up for that

“Don’t do that! Why are you home? I thought you had clients until seven.”

“I knew you were home and wanted to see you because I had a break in between.”

How did he know I was home? I don’t remember telling him my plans for the day.

“Oh. Well, since you’re here you can help.” I toss a T-shirt at his chest, which he catches easily.

“I have a better idea.” He smiles. Grabbing my face, he slants his mouth over mine and kisses me senseless. My body immediately ignites, and I wonder if his touch will always have this effect on me. Probably.

Pushing me back over the pile of laundry, Kash pulls my leggings down along with my panties. He wastes no time diving between my thighs, tossing my legs over his broad shoulders. Within minutes I’m coming on his face and being flipped over to my stomach. My feet are hanging over the bed, and I’m lying on the pile of clothes I was folding, inhaling their clean scent when Kash slams into me from behind.

“Fuck, you feel amazing.” He slaps my butt, gripping my cheek in one hand. “So fucking good, Mila.”

Kash takes me roughly from behind, and every time he thrusts into me, the bed squeaks and moves a bit from the force.

Biting out a laugh, I giggle at the ridiculousness of it. Ten minutes ago, I was folding laundry; now I’m being fucked on it.

His thrusts slow down, and he pulls out until just the tip is inside me. “Is something funny about the way I fuck you, Sweet Girl?” His hand snakes around my front to play with my clit, making me squirm.

“No. I swear I wasn’t laughing at you. Please,” I whine.

“If you’re coherent enough to giggle, I guess I’m not doing it right. We’ll see who gets the last laugh.”

By the time he finished, I had to put the rest of the unfolded clothes back in the washer.

There was no way I could put them away after the way he fucked me on top of them.

“Has she been like this for a while?” Mara’s voice interrupts my replay.

Laughing, Joelle nods. “I don’t know what happens in her life, but I’m probably better off not knowing.”

Making a face, Mara nods, her dark ponytail bouncing. “Yeah, no thanks.”

“Leave it alone. It’s not what you think,” I lie.

“Yeah, and I’m the nice twin.”

“Whatever.” I brush past her to the kitchen.

Staring at the canvas on the wall, I just pray tonight goes well. I don’t have time to think about Mara’s issues. My boyfriend is having dinner with my parents. Everything will be fine. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

Chapter Forty-One

Kash

Ihaven’t seen or talked to Mila’s parents since the wedding, when her dad caught us kissing and her mom gave us a small sex talk. To say I’m a bit apprehensive about dinner is an understatement. Fortunately, it’s just going to be the four of us. I don’t know if I could handle Mara as well.

I just got home, and Mila should be ready soon. We’re supposed to be at her parents’ house at six and I don’t want to show up late. I know Mila is mine and that isn’t changing. I’m not going anywhere, so I hope her parents get used to seeing me around. I’m a permanent fixture.

Setting flowers on the table, I listen for any sounds as to where my girl might be. There’s a fresh bouquet of yellow asters in a vase on our table, along with a set for her mom. Emma taught us better than to show up empty-handed to someone’s house. Even if I never dated anyone seriously all through school, I heard her drill it into Rhett enough times.
