Harvest wore black leggings with a black shirt that showed a sliver of her belly, with a long-sleeve plaid shirt over it, and sneakers to match. She wore her hair in a half up, half down style with diamond stud earrings. She talked to the girls for two more minutes, then walked toward the car. I quickly got out and opened the door for her.

“You really came out looking this good?”

Her gaze traveled down to her feet as she played with a loose strand of hair.

“How are you a model and you act shy every time I compliment you?” I asked once we got in the car.

She spoke to Noah before she responded. “I get compliments from men and women every day, but it hits different when it comes from you. I guess because I like you. It’s like you look at me differently from other people. I feel like I could just beHarvest around you.” She shrugged and played with the small bag in her hand.

“Because you can be. I want to learn all parts of you. I want you to be comfortable enough to show me the parts that are reserved for your friends and family. I want to be the space for you to share things you may not have even shared with them. Secrets, dreams, fears, I want to know all of that. I know all this is fast, and it’s going to take time; I just wanted that to be known.” I lifted her hand and kissed the back of it. I smiled when I noticed she still had her wedding ring on. It made me feel good that she was at least giving this thing a real try.

“Okay.”

A little while later, we arrived at an open field. There were different vendors set up and bouncy houses for kids.

“This is like a little festival, huh?” Harvest asked as Noah found a spot to park.

“Yeah. Are you okay with this?”

“If you are, then I am. I guess that’s why you have the hat on and dressed like a YN.” Harvest giggled.

Noah laughed at her joke, and that caused her to laugh even more.

“First of all, forget both of you for laughing. Secondly, I look cool.”

“Okay, cool guy.” Harvest joked, and Noah joined in with her again.

“Y’all not going to be ganging up on me. Let’s go before I change my mind.” I opened the car door, then helped Harvest out.

“Aww, did we hurt your feelings?” Harvest asked as she pinched my cheeks.

Children ran around, screaming and laughing. Different scents of food wafted through the air. There was a singer onstage, but it wasn’t the one I came for. The girl sounded good, so maybe I would check her out too.

“No, you didn’t hurt my feelings, Harvest.” I kissed her lips, then grabbed her hand.

“You look cute,” Harvest complimented as we walked toward the festivities.

I told Noah he could go do his thing because I was sure people would really recognize me if they saw him.

“Where does Noah go at night? I meant to ask you that last night.”

I chuckled at her question. “He goes to his room or whatever. You thought he stood in front of my room door all night?”

She shrugged. “I figured he has to protect you around the clock.”

We bypassed the food and vendors and went straight to the stage. We were able to find a spot off to the side where we still had a good view but wasn’t in the thick of things.

“And run the risk of him hearing your melodic moans? Nah, those sounds need to be just for me,” I whispered and ran my finger down the side of her neck as small goosebumps formed.

Harvest’s eyes darted around the crowd, but no one paid attention to us.

“Boston, you can’t be saying stuff like that in public.”

I noticed the way Harvest’s breathing changed and her cheeks turned a rosy color. I moved to stand behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist.

“Why not, Harvest? It makes that sweet pussy wet when I talk to you like that?” I teased as I rubbed the exposed skin on her stomach.

“Boston.” She lowly moaned my name.
