I slowly turned my head, and my heart fell to my ass. I was in bed withtheeBoston Brooks.
Where the hell were my friends? How could they let me leave with a stranger? A rich, fine as fuck stranger, but still a damn stranger. My heart raced when I looked at him again. His eyes were closed, so it gave me a chance to stare at his dark brown skin. I wondered what kind of skin care routine he had, because his skin was so damn clear and smooth. The nose ring in his left nostril was sexy to me. I couldn’t take my eyes off the intricate tattoo that covered his neck, and I wondered how far down his chest it went. I couldn’t tell since he still had his shirt on, but I was able to see the ones that covered both arms. His lips looked kissable, and I wondered if I got the pleasure of feeling them the night before. It would be a disappointment if I did and couldn’t remember.
Sheesh, how much did I drink and smoke? Thinking about the amount of alcohol I consumed reminded me that I still needed to use the bathroom, but I was afraid to move. The more I stared at Boston, the more I didn’t want to get up. I wasn’t sure if I should just try and go to the bathroom so I could slip out of the room, or did I use the bathroom and climb back into bed.The bed in my room wasn’t bad, but this one was even better. I probably should stick around and try to talk to him to see how we got here. I wasn’t sure what to do about this beautiful ass ring on my finger either. I lifted my hand to look at it again and hoped I wouldn’t have to give it back once he saw that I had it. I was positive it was an accident that it was on my finger.
When my bladder had enough, I slid out of the bed.
“Where are you going?” Boston groaned with his eyes still closed.
“I’m just going to the bathroom.”
His only response was a quick “Mhm,” then snores again.
Once I was out of bed, I realized just how big the room was.
This must be the penthouse suite.
I was tempted to open the curtains, but I didn’t want to interrupt Boston while he slept. I was surprised he wasn’t as panicked as I was, or maybe he didn’t realize the magnitude of the situation. I was sure he had to be worried about a stranger being in his bed the morning after being left at the altar. I really needed him to wake up soon so we could address whatever this was. I could only hope he remembered more than I did. No matter how hard I tried to put the puzzle pieces together, I couldn’t figure out how the hell we got here.
I made it to the bathroom and was amazed at how big it was. There was a tub that was next to the shower. In my room, the shower and tub were in one. It had his and her sinks with a beautiful flower bouquet in between them. Maybe they were supposed to be for his fiancée. I brushed that thought to the side and used the bathroom. I found a washcloth, so I washed my face when I was done. Since this was a fancy ass room, there were a couple of toothbrushes and some mouthwash on the counter, so I used them. There was no way in hell I would face Boston Brooks with stale breath. It was bad enough that I had to open my mouth in the first place. He was half asleep, sohopefully, he didn’t notice. My hair was a mess, so I used my hands and some water to fix it. With a messy bun, and looking decent enough, I exited the bathroom.
I wanted to look around the room, but that bed called my name. I knew I wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep, but I definitely needed to lie back down with the way my head felt.
I was surprised to see Boston awake and looking at me when I reentered the room.
“You good?”
Why did his voice have to sound so damn sexual? Those two words were enough to make my juices flow.
The minute my eyes met his, I felt my cheeks warm. This man was so damn fine, even after a night of whatever happened. His eyes were the color of an obsidian stone, and he hadn’t taken them off me. I couldn’t look at him again without blushing.
“Yeah. I’m okay.”
Since he was now awake, I figured he would want me out of his room, so I lifted my hand to remove the ring.
“I’m not sure how I got this, but I think this belongs to you,” I said as I pulled the ring off.
“Nah, it’s yours.”
“What do you mean?” I held the ring in my hand, anxious to hear what he had to say next.
I didn’t expect his next words, and my knees damn near gave out when he said, “It’s yours because you are my wife.”
“What?”shorty shouted, and even though it was too loud for my pounding head, the raspiness of her voice made my dick twitch.
“Mama, I’m gonna need you to take it down a notch. My head is thumping like a muthafucka.” I rubbed my temples even though I knew that wasn’t going to do shit. I had way too much to drink, and I paid for it as soon as I opened my eyes.
I felt the absence of her warm body as soon as she left the bed. That was the reason I had gotten up and ordered breakfast while she was in the bathroom.
“What do you mean I’m your wife, Boston?” She crossed her arms over her ample-sized breasts, and I couldn’t help but lick my lips.
Shorty was fine as fuck and thick. Thick like I needed both hands to grip any part of her body, and I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get the chance to the night before. I was drunk as hell, but not that drunk that I would take advantage of her or any other woman.
“What I mean is, you and I got married last night,” I said as I pointed between the two of us. It did sound unbelievable. I wasn’t even sure how my brother and my boys let it happen. They also knew when I had my mind made up about something, there was no changing it.
She looked like she was on the verge of passing out as she stood on the side of the bed.
Her hickory brown eyes traveled to the ring on her finger, then back to me. I couldn’t help but stare at her. Ivy was beautiful, but Harvest was on a different level to me. I knew exactly who she was from the moment I spotted her in the nightclub my brother and friends suggested we go to after I spiraled from reading the blog post on the Soleil Society page.
