“I do.” He made no attempt to hide his gaze wandering down my body, drinking in the sight of my stiff nipples. Had they hardened from the cold, or was it the excitement? Probably both.
“That’s funny, I thought I swore you had eyes for your friend.”
He splashed me in reply before letting out a long sigh.
“Truth is, I would do something, but Flint would never. But that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate the sight of a gorgeous, naked woman doing her best jungle Jane impression.”
“Just appreciate, or….” I was fishing for answers, but he was making me work for them.
“Appreciate and more. If she’s feeling dangerous. I like guys and girls.” He shrugged. “Is that a disappointment for you?”
“Hell,no…if anything, it opens up the possibilities for even more fun. If your friend would only play along, right?”
“If only.” Jack drifted closer, finally peeling his gaze away from my naked body to meet my eyes. “I think he might be a little intimidated by you.”
“Why? Dragging you out here and getting naked too forward for him?”
“No, nothing like that. It’s just… you look alotlike his ex.”
“Really?” I wasn’t sure what to do with this new piece of information.
Was that a good or a bad thing? I was pretty sure that if I met someone who looked like my ex out here, I would be running the other way, but I was hoping Flint wasn’t wired the same way as me.
“Don’t worry, you’re much hotter. Also, his ex would never do something as bold as stripping off in front of two strangers and inviting them for a dip.”
“Strangers? I thought we were all friends now?” The words purred out of me, and I found myself drifting closer to him. Closer to temptation.
“Friends? I like the sound of that.” That wicked glimmer in his eyes was doing things to me, stealing what little self-control I had. “But, if I’m being honest, I was hoping we might end up doing things that friends don’t normally do….”
“What did you have in mind?” The words almost caught in my throat, but I got them out.
Who was this person who had taken hold of me? Being so blatant with a guy about my intentions, stripping off, and going off alone with two strange men. This wasn’t me, and I was loving every minute of it.
Jack drifted closer. He looked good with water dripping down his tanned skin, little droplets running down the chiseled lines of his athletic shoulders. I was a little disappointed that I hadn’t seen the whole show before he dove in, but I was pretty sure I was in for a much bigger treat.
A second splash told me that Flint was done watching us. While sharing a moment with his friend, I’d almost forgotten about him. Almost.
“Guess he felt left out. Or heard what we were planning and dove in to set the record straight.”
I chuckled at Jack’s comment, exaggerated by his dramatic eye-roll. As Flint approached, I realized just how close we’d drifted together. If I wanted to, I could throw my arms—and possibly my legs—around him. That would probably set things off, right?
Flint came splashing up toward us. Fuck, he looked even hotter with his hair wet.
“Ears burning, huh?” Jack splashed him playfully.
“Something like that.” He harrumphed, but couldn’t hide his smile.
“Glad you found the courage to join us.” I bit my lip as he ran his hands through his hair, his thicker muscles looking even bigger next to Jack’s slender form. Not that I had a preference. Right now I just felt spoilt for choice.
“Sorry, it took me a minute. So, what were you chatting about?”
“Jack here was just telling me how he’s bisexual. Oh, and he thinks you’re hot.”
Jack’s mouth fell open. Flint eyed him suspiciously. I just threw a live grenade into their situation, and I was loving every minute of it.
I just hoped that when they’d picked up the pieces from the explosion, they’d do something exciting with what they’d found.
