Mateo’s eyes shut, his expression twisting with a mix of frustration and dread—exactly what I felt too. He was still hard and there was absolutely no fucking way he could answer the door like that.

“Godammit,” I whispered.

The knock came again, a little more insistent. I quickly snatched my shorts and tank top up and put them on.

“Fuck. We’re getting caught,” Mateo whispered. “You look ravaged.”

“Ihavebeen ravaged,” I hissed. “Fuck. I’ll just say I was working out. But you need to go workthatout .”

Mateo looked down at his jeans and made a face.

I swept my hair back behind my shoulders and tried to gain some sense of composure. Whoever the fuck was at my door, I was going to be kicking them off my step.

Unless it was one of my brothers.

Jesus Christ, I really hoped it wasn’t one of my brothers.

I rushed to the door, looked through the peephole, and blanched.Oh god.I unlocked and yanked it open.

Levi stood on the other side, scratching the back of his head. He turned to face me, and his eyes popped wide.

“What do you want?” I asked.

My cheeks were the color of a ripe tomato. It was probably for the best that out of all people, Levi was the one to interrupt us, but I still felt the heat of embarrassment.

His nostrils flared. “Uh . . .”

I looked down at myself. My nipples were still hard. My skin was flushed. I probably smelled like sex.Like Mateo.

“I’ve forgotten how words work,” he mumbled.

Levi blushing could have been a new kink for me. The way he’d blushed while standing on his porch the other night had made me run away, but I couldn’t run now. I stared at him for a moment and then raked my fingers through my hair.

“Are you okay?” I asked.

“Yeah. Yes. Of course. I came over to ask if you have any baking soda.”

“Baking soda?”

“Yes.”

What the fuck does he need that for?

I heard footsteps behind me and turned right as Mateo filled the doorway with a stupid, flirty grin.

He was still shirtless.

“Morning, Levi,” he said.

He leaned against the doorway as I gave him a devilish glare. “Someone is gonna see you.”

“Only Levi will,” Mateo said.

Levi made a noise that was somewhere between a groan and grunt. “Sorry. I interrupted something.”

“No,” I said quickly. “It’s not what it looks like.”

“It is what it looks like. You could join us,” Mateo offered.
