“You look because I can’t,” I say before walking back into my room.
It feels like hours before she comes back into the room. “Ana,” she shouts with excitement.
“What?” I say rushing over to her.
“It’s positive,” she says with a squeal.
I look over at the test. There’s no way. “It’s got to be a false positive,” I mumble, still not willing to get my hopes up.
“Then take another one to be sure, but I think you are pregnant,” she says with a grin.
I end up taking the last four tests that I have, and they all say the same thing.
I’m pregnant.
“You should tell your husband,” she says with excitement.
“I have waited for this day for a long time. I always wanted to tell him in a special way. Plus, we had talked to Ice about trying something with us. What if he doesn’t want anything to do with us now because I’m pregnant?” I say panicking as my breathing picks up.
“Breathe for me,” she says doing slow breaths which I follow.
After a few minutes, I calm down.
“We will think of a cute way for you to tell them and, if Ice really wants you guys, then this is just going to be an addition,” she tells me.
Hopefully this doesn’t turn Ice away. I already feel myself growing attached.
Chapter Ten
Levi “Ice”
Something is going on with Ana. She has been acting weird all week. It’s making me wonder if she’s second guessing bringing me into their relationship.
She still gives me shy smiles and kisses me like she can’t get enough.
That’s all we have done. I’ve found myself dragged into another room at the club during the week so Viking can kiss me. I find it very hot that he can’t seem to stay away.
Currently, I’m watching Ana as she prepares supper because Viking is going to be out late on a run. It’s his first late run since they have been back from her mom’s. He was nervous about it and asked me to stay with Ana.
Obviously, I don’t mind doing that. Any time to get to know her is a great opportunity.
I tried to help her with supper, but she said she wanted to do it. She even kicked her sister out of the house so we could have a date night.
When I see her hands shaking, I stand up and walk over to her.
“Ana, baby, tell me what’s wrong.” I say pulling her into my arms.
“Nothing, I just have a lot on my mind,” she says before looking away.
“Are you regretting the decision for you and Viking to be with me?” I ask, not being able to keep the tension out of my voice.
She looks up at me with wide eyes and shakes her head. “No, that’s not it at all.”
“Then tell me what it is because I’m coming to the wrong conclusions,” I plead with her.
She lets out a sigh and shuts off the stove before turning back to me. “Can we sit down?”
I swallow hard but nod my head as she leads me to the living room to sit on the couch.
